I am a vagabond elf named Snufkin. My insane desire to study and know and do everything has me currently trapped in medical school and Vancouver for another few years before moving on to other places. But I am taking a year off to study languages and devote myself to music and art and psychic stability. I love life and I love being alive for its own sake.
I nose about in research on consciousness and the practices and substances that alter and improve it. I work with Ibogaine at the Iboga Therapy House treating addictions. I also do assistance for psychic emergencies at raves and parties.
I dream with wild ambition but persevere to capture the greater perspectives. I try very hard to be true to my word and to do all the things I promise myself and others I will do, and am largely successful though I take some strange byways.
I would like to do my residency to specialize in Trondheim, Norway, because I am erotically infatuated with the Nidaros Cathedral. It's also a fun town and I would like to stay there. I am trying to learn better Norwegian by combining and confusing courses in Danish and Swedish. I have traveled relentlessly and excessively and my lair is a museum of curios that I have amassed. I thrive when surrounded by beauty and wonders and wither away therefrom; I believe we become what we behold. I've an enormous collection of books and hats. I believe in the nonduality of life and art and the necessity of unmediated experience to counter mediocrity and apathy. Autumn is my favourite season when summer is just shifting at harvest time from hot muggy days to the crystal clarity of crisp cold winds when I can choose whether or not to wear a coat and the wasps have drunken death orgies in piles of fermenting fruit.

Before this episode I got my masters in Jerusalem. In religious studies. Then straight into medicine. It only makes sense to psychiatrists. I love to wander around ancient cities, picnic in ruins, sneak up onto the city wall ramparts by moonlight, discover secret places, and linger in dusty ancient churches breathing the frankincense. I miss it.
I have a knack with picking up languages. I have lived in Vancouver most of my life but I am tired of it and do not like what it is becoming. I wish I lived in Montreal, or Jerusalem, Istanbul, Vienna, Paris, Cairo, Prague, even Kathmandu. My favourite colours are orange and green, but only of particular shades. I was born on the day of the Jonestown massacre. The first word I uttered was "fish" but I hope it will not be my last.

I eat and sleep in odd patterns. I make friends easily and whimsically embark on adventures when the moment strikes me. I was a shy child who spent a lot of time alone in the forest and nearly drowned a few times without anyone human to notice. I have no allergies. I sing and play strings and winds and toys in a band called The Creaking Planks, or sometimes by myself. I have very few very good friends scattered over the earth whom I love ... I have a dark and impish sense of humour. I tell wonderful stories, but never on demand.
