About Me

Seraphim Radio is now Dead and Buried, and replaced with Batcave Redemption Radio, which can be reached by clicking the banner above (If the link doesn't work, right-click and choose "Save As"). Likewise, the new Myspace is www.myspace.com/batcaveredemption Please update your bookmarks and send all friend requests to the new Myspace instead.I'm Sojourner Tikkun. I am a hopeless Neo-Romantic Goth, which is not to say I am hopeless, or that I am a real life Gomez Addams that sweeps the ladies of their feet. (Oh, woe is me, I am such an outcast! I'll be forever doomed to be an unmarried hermit, perpetually hounded by rabid chihuahuas if ever I dare to step out of my door!) Truth be told, I wear the black in mourning for a synthetically darkened world of cruelty, chaos, corruption, coercion, complacency, and cynicism. Against a backdrop of an age of despair that has been steadily creeping upon our world for centuries, now perversely pervading the whole of our civilization and seeking to overthrow every refuge for hope that former generations had clung to, I stand on the conviction that with God in heaven, it is indeed true that love never dies. This will be fully and finally fulfilled on the day when God will set the world to rights through a universal resurrection of the dead, body and soul in a state of incorruptable immortality (not to be confused with zombies, as zombies are mindless decaying corpses crawling upright with nobody home upstairs). On that day, humanity will be held accountable for the deeds done in their lives through a universal trial, leading some to salvation and others to a self-created quagmire of shame and despair. And so, in anticipation of the day when the Shekhinah shall shine throughout the cosmos, I seek to play my part in hastening dawn's breaking light through the struggle for the kind of true peace and justice that will with compassion, self-sacrifice, and the power of love defeat the black legacy of hatred, violence, and the love of power. As co-inheritor that holds the kingdom and the keys, I have sought to model this message through music to shine a great light among those that walk in darkness, that every oppressor's rod may be broken, and every trampling warrior's boots and bloody garments may be burned for fire.On that note, I run a Gothic, Industrial, and Electropop Internet Radio Station called Seraphim Radio: Sounds from the Crystal Sea, where I have devised a homemade brew fusing some of the best of both Christian and secular artists in these genres. Likewise, as a perennial fan of most every sub-style of these genres, there's something for everyone to enjoy. If you would like to tune in to the station, you can either click the banner below, or go to www.shoutcast.com and search for "Seraphim".

I'd like to meet:

I should like to meet Wisdom incarnate, the creator of all things and the force of reason which sustains all things. A man of sorrows who bore the sufferings of humanity all his life culminating in saving the world by being tortured to death by a perverse alliance of corrupt religion and cruel empire. One whose power and purity raised him to life once more to take control of the universe. Creator and destroyer of governments and nations. One who remains my steadfast ally when all men fail or betray me, even as I betray myself. Of his like I have never seen. In this respect, I feel that he has called me in the running of this station to represent to the Goths and the Rivetheads a larger project that has been taking place in some theological circles and in the seminaries, but only in some of the newest churches. I hope these two videos with New Testament scholar N.T. Wright, taken as excerpts from a larger lecture will offer some explanation:Assuming you haven't fallen asleep, used a sledgehammer on the computer screen, or been abducted by aliens, and if you are interested in learning more, you can access some of Dr. Wright's articles and lectures at The N.T. Wright Page . And, of course, you can find some of his books listed on the bar to your left.
