About Me

My most important characteristic is that I'm Christian. Well, at least it is the most important characteristic to me. That doesn't mean that I hold Christians in some sort of higher regard or anything. It just means that I recognize the significance of what Jesus' sacrifice for us means and I am joyous to be able to experience the consequences.

I'm currently a university student at the Colorado School of Mines. I am majoring in Physics Engineering and Mathematics and minoring in Japanese.

I enjoy cooking and painting quite a bit. I also enjoy programming and looking at the sky. Sometimes flicking balled up rolly-pollies is fun.

My favorite animal is the otter. And I think that trebuchets are pretty awesome.

I'm a quarter German, a quarter Scottish and half Hispanic. (As can be seen by the fact that my family is from Taos, NM)

My stepfamily is Japanese, so I have some Japanese influence, too.

Headbands:

I'd like to meet:

People.

Music:

I like a lot of different junk across a lot of different genres. Unfortunately, I am pretty unknowledgeable about a lot of music, so if you know of something good, please tell me about it and I'll listen to it. I appreciate learning about new music.

As for music that I like now:

Beck Ween Canned Heat Vivaldi Cab Calloway Bill Haley and The Comets Pharcyde . . .

Hmm... Making a list is pretty futile. I like a lot of music. I'd like to get to know more ragtime, more big band/swing music, more hip hop, more bluegrass and more punk for sure.

I'm not really a fan of country or heavy metal, but anything else I'd love to be told about. Heck, you can tell me about heavy metal or country if you want. Maybe you'll know of some that I might like.

Movies:

The Princess Bride, Tanpopo, Shall We Dansu, Army of Darkness, Zoolander, a whole lot of other stuff.

Again, making such a list would be crazy.

Television:

The A-Team, The Simpsons, Futurama, Sifl and Olly, Upright Citizens Brigade, House, ER, Scrubs, Other junk.

Books:

I tend to prefer science fact books, but I like some science fiction a little, too.

Honestly, I don't read fiction all that much. Most of the books that I read are to teach myself something new.

If you know of any really kickass books, I'm open to suggestions, why not.

Heroes:

Doctors, My grandpa, anybody who's doing what they can to make this world a better place.

Somebody willing to risk their own life or take a sacrifice for the wellbeing of others. Firefighters would fit this category.

I think that research pharmicists or others that do what they can to help humanity are great.
