Ann Coulter Sucks!

About Me:

I am an artist, teacher, writer and have a wonderful family. I'm mesmerized by politics, even though it makes most people sick. I can listen to the bickering endlessly. I appreciate all kinds of art--crazy, wild, out-of-the-box kind---and I'm mad for textures! Travel is important to me. Spent two weeks in Italy last year--trying to see as much of the world as I can. I'm a control freak, argumentative, outspoken, klutzy. I love power tools---saws, drills, sanders, chop saws...which is harrowing for a klutz. I adore the beach, hate exercise (but walk every day).

I drive too fast, talk too fast, and hardly ever sleep. I'm a night person in a morning person's world. Religion repels me because of the proselytizers. If it's that good it doesn't need to be shoved down people's throats. I'm irreverant and culturally rebellious. I consider myself a liberal, but not fanatical. My friends come from various political backgrounds. I think young people are exciting and they teach me so much. I really appreciate creativity in others.

These are some of my art pieces in collage, acrylics, and assemblage. They consist of Heritage Assemblages, Surreal Collage Series, Asian Collage Series, Feminist Art and Assemblages from recycled parts.

..
Art pieces left to right: Heritage, Travel, Family, Age, With You in the Country, Angelina Lives, Lost in Time, In Search of Magdalene, The Colonel Writes Home, Eunie, In the Garden, Graceful Repose, The Cottage, Autumn Grace, Ancient Mother, Roots and Wings, Coming Apart at the Seams, PMS, Female Genital Mutilation, MemoryBox, Junkbot, Lucky Charm, Glamour Girls, Sam the Doorman, Sam's Friend Manny, To Fly You Must Grow Your Own Wings.

MOCKAMANIA

Having a sense of humor about politics will keep you from going bonkers!

I am so tired of Bush's ineptitude. I am weary of his malapropisms, his failure to engage the electorate, his ignorance on so many topics, his childish Christian idealism and that stupid grin! I am just tired and wish he would disappear. I don't hate the guy. Maybe he's a good husband and father. I don't know, but we need someone in the White House who can think and reason for god's sake! I am hopeful that the young people now reaching maturity are determined, curious, and bold in their thinking. I hope they hold their leaders accountable for their actions. Our generation has dropped the ball on this one. What incompetence we've seen lately!

Religion: freedom of or freedom from?

What is it about religion that makes people so insane? I was raised in a regular protestant church, but I do not subscribe to religious doctrine. A less dogmatic spirituality is a better fit for me. Today, it seems that so many people are angry about religion. Conservatives want to mix religion with government because our nation was founded on a belief in God. I really understand their viewpoint, but don't agree with it. I can see that you would want your beliefs to encompass all aspects of your life. That you can't leave your religion at the school house door, etc. But, I need you to. I need you to keep them separate because I share the public spaces with you and I don't agree with your brand of religion. I don't want to share that part with you. In our country, we have to make room for me. That's what I like about America---the separation of church and state means I can be free from your indoctrination.

My heroes are those people who have overcome obstacles to get on with their lives. My husband is my greatest hero. He has guided me through many dark pathways--all the while standing by me, holding my hand, and never letting go. Everyday people are the true heroes.
