My Interests

I have always been interested in the arts, whether it's painting (I enjoy doing acrylic studies in texture and color on large canvas) Or going to the theatre...I currently have season tickets to TPAC as well as The Boiler Room (always looking for someone to go with me)...or attending live music performances.

I'd like to meet:

..

.. .. .. .. .. .. .. ..As you can see from some of the pics in my slideshow, because of my various jobs, I have had the good fortune to work with and meet some incredibly talented people.I am always interested in meeting new friends. Love just hanging out at home, or going out to dinner, movies, theatre, clubs...you name it, I'm up for it. Not actively looking for someone to date, but not opposted to the idea.

Movies:

a> IMITATION OF LIFE
Starring Lana Turner

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES I HAVE EVER SEEN! If you haven't seen it, check it out.

FRIED GREEN TOMATOES
Starring Jessica Tandy

Murder, Southern Cooking, a Great Soundtrack and LESBIANS...what more could you want from a film?

MOULIN ROUGE
Starring Nicole Kidman

Baz Luhrman is a Creative Genius! The sets are beautiful, Nicole and Ewan are mesmerizing and the songs...breathtaking!

L.A. CONFIDENTIAL
Starring Kim Basinger

Love the look of this film more than the acting. Old Hollywood Glamour with a murderous plot.

BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA
Starring Gary Oldham

Another costume drama. Beautiful scenery and wardrobe with a great retelling of a classic horror tale. Besides, any story with a Hero named Jonathan..how can you go wrong?

Books:

COFFEE WILL MAKE YOU BLACK
By April Sinclair
This is my favorite work of Fiction. COFFEE tells the story of a young black girl named Stevie growing up in Chicago in the 60's. Stevie develops a crush on a female teacher and begins to come to terms with her sexuality in this hysterically funny and poignant coming-of-age-story. Think Catcher In The Rye for a new generation. If you read this one and like it, I highly recommend it's follow-up, AIN'T GONNA BE THE SAME FOOL TWICE.
