I thought you might like a little info on what I've been doing recently.... As some of you know, my mom sang with the Harry James Orchestra for many years. As a young girl I got the wonderful opportunity to spend some time on the road with my mom and the band.
After my mom left us in 1997, I boxed up many of her things which included all of her original charts and arrangements that she used when she performed with Harry James.
This year, I have had the opportunity to do my own shows using those amazing charts and I just finished a CD with the Troy University Jazz Ensemble using her charts and arrangements. Some of which have not been heard in quite a while!
This has been an amazing project all the way around... I can't wait to share it all with you. I'm going to post a few pictures from my last concert so you get the idea and I'll let everyone know the drop date as soon as I can.....
I thought it only appropriate to start talking about all of this on Mother's Day!
