About Me

POLYHARMONIQUE:
Polyharmonique is the name of a new contemporary project, in which the sound spheres of classical music and electronic music is combined in Polyharmony. The aim of the duo Polyharmonique is to interpret music from various musical eras, e.g. the late medieval period, early Italian baroque, and late English renaissance, not by purely adapting the music, but by using the notes and texts to create a completely new artistic and poetic expression. By doing so, very interesting combinations of old music and electronic styles can be developed.

Polyharmonique was established by Alexander Schneider and Ingolf Schapke. Both musicians were brought together in their childhood by their roots in the Dresdner Kreuzchor, the choir in which they first encountered the classical occidental music. After years of pursuing their different musical careers, they now are working together as Polyharmonique.

PRODUCTION:
Relaxation, warmth and peace with his Living Room, sound engineer, DJ and producer Ingolf Schapke creates a musical environment of wellbeing. In spite of his classical musical education, Schapke, has been attracted to electronical music since he was a teenager. Since 2000, Schapke has his own studio (Rockboxstudio ) in Munich, his chosen place of residence, and devotes himself to producing well-known Raggae-Stars (Black Kappa, Tony Tuff, Triston Palmer, Dawn Penn, etc.), Drum & Bass live projects, DJ performances, music for TV commercials as well as short films and documentaries, and the musical design of his own lounge-like living room. With his refined mix of Easy Listening, Trip Hop, Jazz and Bossa Nova, Schapke now creates feathery and unintrusive downbeat-pieces, where harmonical surfaces meet piano passages a fine relaxing chill-out music with an atmospheric tingle for early mornings. In 2006 he was chosen to produce the music for the TV Campaign "Cat Deluxe" the new Parfum by Naomie Campbell, this TV Spot was running in over 8 Countries worldwide. His musical contributions can be found on the following samplers: Mercedes Benz Mixtape 11, Nektar Openminded, Fehlton Sampler, Carpe Diem, Ministry of Sound and many more.
