I am obsessed with electronic dance music, it really got going when i started going to house and hardcore events in the early 90's with the Double Vision Crew whom produced music videos of events and electronic artists such as Praga Khan, Ultrasonic, The Ultimate Buzz, Casio Brothers, Rezerection, Fubar, Metro and probably more...Paul, the main man of Double Vision would ask me to come and give him a hand lugging video equipment around setting up cameras, meeting the crews, getting backstage etc. Later on when the hardcore events seem to die down, i was giving the opportunity to do some rep, pr and bar work abroad........
i enjoyed working abroad but the party lifestyle was too appealing, the beach parties, the hill parties, house parties in workmates apartments, and on top of all that the nightlife right around the south coast of Gran Canaria, This changed my outlook on dance music, now it was all about blissful house beats at sunset then energising progressive house and trance throughout the night.
Orillasound started out as a DJ project recording dj mixes and streaming them across the web, the project found itself expanding into the production of Orillasound's own beats and electro soundscapes using his newly acquired sound engineering skills, with his completion of HNC Sound Production at Riverside Music Complex and getting the latest tricks and tips from Martin 'The Tail' who is label manager of Chase Your Tail Recordings and partner in crime with Orillasound in the development of new indie band Deadbeat Audio.Orillasound's music is now taking a new direction and often his releases carry an environmental message, he believes that the best way to raise awareness is to use music as a platform to make people take notice of whats really going on in the world.............
