Cadet Nerevar

I'm a member of Starfleet. I've been in Starfleet since my father's corpse and I were found drifting through space. We were home on Nirn in the Gamma quadrant before we went on our journey. we ascended into space and were pulled into an anomaly that looked like two cones converging and flattening out in the middle. Th ext thing I know, my father is almost dead and our ship was disintegrating, but I was in a Starfleet bed on the science ship Dyson. I was everyone's child on the ship. None of the crew had children, so I filled in. After those years I went to the academy. My major was in combat and my minor was in starship design. I soon found my true calling. There was an accident that killed two of the members of Nova squadron. While most people didn't like me, everyone knew I was the guy to go to in a bind. I was flying in no time. I then moved up to be the second in command of Nova Squad, the highest I was able to be. I switched out of starship design and made advanced flight my major. After a while I ended up having friends because of my prestigious spot on the squad. There was something strange then that happened. My squad was doing a battle simulation in our off time when the safety sub-systems went offline. The worst part was the fact that the battleground we chose was a stereotypical volcanic climate. I rushed to find the door. We weren't going to last there forever. Just as I found the door a small eruption came towards me. I tried to jump out of the way, but I was hit. I knew I was dead and beckoned my squad to leave me, but they got me to sickbay. This is where the story gets even stranger. Instead of missing half of my vital organs I was nearly fine. I had third degree burns and was going to recover fully. After a dermal regeneration and then losing half of my skin to a grueling inquiry by a board of high ranking personnel I was free to go. I received a message from the USS Dyson a while after the accident. It seems that one of the few things my father said before his death was that our people lived in a volcanic area. I finished out my final duties at the academy and packed my bag. Now I have been offered a lucrative spot on the USS Victoria. This is a good start for my career.
