Love And Squalor

You and your friends are dead. Game over.

About Me

Hi. We’re Love And Squalor. We’ve been a band for a while, but really started in the fall of 2006, after relocating to Chicago and solidifying our lineup. Our aim is to write honest, passionate and challenging music that we have described before as “angry, literate Midwest punk rock”. Others have described it as “dark, dirty, earthy and ultimately emotive”.
We love this. That’s it. If you see us at a show, come up and say, “Hey.” We’d love to talk to everyone.
As for our new CD, New Blood New Songs: It’s fifteen songs released in September of 2007 with Window Licker Records. It’s currently being sold on a sliding scale (sometimes for free) at shows, and a free download of the album will be available here soon (though without the stunning artwork by Colin Smith at www.distortedperspective.com). We hope you like it as much as we do.
We plan to play constantly throughout 2008 and, if all goes according to plan, record a new album. But first, we’ve got a split 7 inch record coming out with our friends, The Hallow, with artwork by Mitch Clem.
