About Me
WE ARE HIPPY VAN.
We hail from the depths of Monk Fryston, Hillam Kellington and Hambleton.
It all started way back when with Will and Nanu who dreamed of travelling round in a camper van, introducing strange new types of music to the people of the world. then our heroes were told by some venues that they would need a drummer to play in their establishments. Robbie was hired and Will and Nanu decided to keep him and call him little drummer boy.
But tragedy loomed, as Will decided to leave after a disatrous gig at the junction in york, where Hippy Van managed to avoid being bottled off the stage by the 5 other people who were there, only by getting them to call nanu a wanker during one of the songs.
But then our three heroes were enlightened. and they concoured that they should put aside their differences to play one last gig at selby town hall. this did not turn out to be the last gig, becuase it was such an awesome show, that changed the world in ways Bob Gledof only dreams of, Will rejoined the band, and a new member was added in the form of Chris Jewitt aka crispy jew, aka jew boy, who was comissioned to play bass to beef up the already awesome and numerous hippy van tunes.
For a while everything was good, hippy van gigs were happening often across the country, but then Will pissed off Nanu and he left the band. For a while all was lost. But Will, Chris and Robbie decided they would continue their legendary journey, and asked Mical aka Harry Potter to join, so that will could be free to play guitar while Mical jumped around like an idiot and played synth once in a while. But sadly after just two further gigs the hippy van journey ground to a halt, for our heroes had other commitments which left no time for being in a band, no matter how awesome it was. Then Nanu had an apiffany, in his small mind he worked out that the selby town hall battle of the the bands was once again nearing, and he came before the remaining members of hippy van, and exclaimed in an almighty manner, "we should do a reunion gig at the selby town hall battle of the bands, which will be occouring in the early months of this year. there will be two heats, and the winners of these two heats will go on to the final, and be in with a chance of winning a glorious prize. they all decided that this would be a good use of their time, and that they would wait until the entry forms were released, and so help them they would fill one out and send it in to the organisers of selby town hall battle of the bands so that they may play a gig as hippy van once more. YEY.
