Villo's first professional steps in the music world are traced back to the summer of 1988, when in company of two junor high school buddies began mixing tapes, DJing for his own classmates and eventually the majority of high school party needs for the greater metro area of Puebla City, Mexico.The earliest events Villo did were sweet 16 birthday celebrations and private parties, quickly progressing to a few Teachers' weddings and larger music venues, including most of the premier dance clubs in Mexico City and Central Mexico while keeping his own sound company and vinyl sales. He also creates and holds down several succesful DJ-mixed shows for many FM stations all around Mexico. Eventually Villo moves to an all-underground sound and begins playing Raves, warehouse parties and after-hours clubs. He releases his first artist album in 1999.In 2000 Villo moves to Orlando, Fl where he becomes part of the Balance Promote Group alongside Chris Fortier and Jimmy van M, and starts playing the US club circuit while taking care of the day-to-day business at the Balance Record Pool.In the next few years Villo has various adventures and residencies, including The HardRock Hotel Orlando, the HardRock Live!, the Lake Eola Sessions, Suite B, Crooked Bayou... and many clubs around the USA and beyond. He launches his label PurpleStar Records in the US and his second artist album -Human Condition- with partners Beau & Jeff as StereoUnderground; begins a weekly radio show on ProtonRadio.com (going on 5 years now) and later a monthly on XM Radio (channel 80) with partners ThumRadio! This show has over 300.000 avid listeners (and counting!) Villo gets invited to this show after breaking the 1'000'000-one million- listeners LIVE! mark on a live transmission@ WMC in Miami with friends Fortier and Sean Cusick... At the same time, his DJing and own music earns him the respect from his peers and admiration from electronic music passionates.As one of the DJs behind the Balance Record Pool, and with almost two decades playing clubs, after-hours and beautiful outside locations, when Villo is at the wheels of steel you will be engulfed by his sound, and delighted by the energy this man projects.
