The United Coalition for Animal Rescue and Education

About Me

United Coalition for Animal Rescue and Education U.C.A.R.E.A spokes group for united animal rescue and welfare groups. An organization to help small groups obtain their goals as a whole. The goal of all animal rescue and welfare groups is to reduce the unwanted pet population through education and spaying and neutering projects. and also to promote the general well being that our beloved pets deserve. This is not in and of itself a rescue program though we would more than happily refer those in need to such programs through groups that have joined us in the fight against overpopulation and abuse. Joined together we have a stronger voice against those who need to hear us.Each group has its own policies and adoption procedures. Each group is an entity in and of itself..this is a coalition simply to bring us all together in voice. In order for us to counteract unrealistic legislation we must stand together. In order to protect our individual rights as animal rights activists..we must stand together. With this Coalition it is our hope to lend an ear to all who need help. It is our hope to eventually have an open forum at least twice a year in order for us all to gather and share our victories and defeats. We can look at what each of us is doing right and maybe adapt our own ways...or maybe help to see what is causing defeat so we can rise above it.We do not want or expect any group to give up their identity to join us..it is in our individuality that we will have ideas..but in our unity that we will have power. As we start our developement plans we are still open to name suggestions and to any thoughts or ideas to help bring us all together.Anyone with any particular talents they would like to share are welcome to speak up. Aside from joining in our fight one thought is also some fund raising opportunities. I know most of the rescue groups operate on shoestring budgets so lets see if we can work together to change that. Lets work together to encourage each other because, let's face it, sometimes this is a daunting undertaking and our only reward is often a wagging tail and a lick.We are currently full of ideas for ways to get donations which would ,of course, go to the separate groups not the coalition. We are also researching private funding groups for grants and donations. Anyone who joins will get regular mailings with whatever new information we receive. We will have to ask in the beginning that our mailings go to one appointed person with each separate group and hopefully at a later date we can mail each person .Until that time it will be the responsibility of one person per group to get our information to its members. We will also gladly do email mailings and ANYONE who would like to receive this may do so.Eventually we may ask a very small membership fee per group but no group will be turned away if they cannot pay. And the membership donation will only be after the Coalition is up and running and the private groups have seen signs that this will be successful for all.We also hope to enlist the help of kennels and Veterinarians, let them sign on with us, a I know there are many vets who work at cost already to assist us. Our end goal is of course a good home for every cat and dog and any other creature in need. To make people aware of the horrors that go on in some zoos, circuses, etc. and put an end to it. To put and end to all the helpless puppies and kittens euthanised every year in the name of animal rescue.to make sure that in an emergency, someone unable to have their pets properly taken care of and usually have to resort to euthinasia has somewhere to go for help. To put an end to animals randomly destroyed simply because of breed ignorance.*referral service for animal shelters*research organization for grants*representative for all signed groups
