Peace, Blessings and Love folk!!! What it do ???? Yes this is me.... I hope that all is well for each individual that passes through my page!! To those of you that dig me, cool! Those that don't know me, stick around and get to know me, if you like. TRAEDONYA!! That's my birth name dear, before you even ask... I heard you before you said it.. That's the first thing that people ask me.. Is TRAEDONYA!! my birth name.. Without question... Most people have business bios that they try to soup up to make you like them more.. then it turns to an ego thing..... I guess I won't do that, but I will tell you a little about myself........, . I love doing and seeing new things !! I've toured quite a few places. Most recently, the US. It was great. The UK, Scandanavia and Europe has been my playground for a while, ...........hhhmmmm. ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ................ I was given birth to a beautiful young mother, who was a lover of music and was very fashion concious, mom loves hot burgandy nails.. Me too mom.. Anyway, My mother gave birth to me in a wonderful place called Rocky Mount....North Carolina.....a small "geechie" town where spirit and music rule. My family roots are a mix of Carribean and Southern anscestry, so I really got to travel as a child...that's how we lived.. We moved to New York for a lot of my formative years . There, I attended private schools, wore uniforms.... the whole bit.... I loved it.. the unity, the discipline.. the order.... But, it was different for me.. coming to New York for the first time...I had this crazy accent that I tried to hide when I first got to New York.... later I said "whatever"...if they don't like it, then they just don't like it.... I grew up shuffeled from The Bronx, to Rocky Mount and to the Islands, for quite a while.. So, yeah.. I'm a little crazy.. Just a little. Anyway, my band "Sample This!" was singed to Elektra Records a while ago.... that is where I was first allowed to totally express my lyrical and singing skills..I got to meet some cool people.. a great time for me.. and wonderful teachers...I learned a ton !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Since then I attended a music Conservatory in New York City and studied Jazz with Reggie Workman, Chico Hamilton, Makanda Mc Kiyntire and Bernard "Pretty Purlie" Purdy..... yeah. it was intense. I left school and moved over seas and worked on my craft, concentrated on myself.... rather than others...................................................... ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ .........Fast forward to right this very moment........ My single "Beloved" is still spinning....and steadily pounding.... Yeah, It's different.....it's well composed and is very heavy lyrically...pay attention to the lyrics... if you don't mind......... I'm protecting my "Queendom" and "Freedom"..... I just came off of a huge tour around the US.......... Currently I'm doing spot dates around the country promoting my current single "Beloved" on Prohibition Entertainment (New York/London), which received national club chart attention across the country... and went to 27 in the "DJ Times National Crossover Chart"... You can click on it to read.. it's on the little slide show.... "Beloved" is a "Freedom" song, that moves the club. The lyrics are strong and the music is equally fascinating. The video for "Beloved" is also currently spinning in different regions through out The States and Europe. "Beloved" is bass driven and has five different mixes that are all making noise in different regions ............................there are also a few rehearsals up here to check out.................................Please check for the new TRAEDONYA!
