Christynette, is a native of South East London. A 24-year-old woman, petite but with huge presence, self-assurance and talent, she began singing and writing at the tender age of twelve. "I've always had something to say” she says “I believe music to be a language used to communicate a message, an idea or a feeling, it is most definitely my preferred means of communication”. Christynette's sound has developed into smooth, urban, street-slick grooves which always contain a message. Her voice is reminiscent of a cool summer's evening, yet her vibe is intense. “To see or hear me sing is to see Christynette the person, I do not just want to put on a show but present myself to the world, raw and uncut”Audiences are entranced by her sophisticated delivery and soaring vocals; the result - a scintillating performance. Not only has she recorded and appeared in the video 'You For Days' with UK rap artist Malarchi, but Christynette's repertoire includes opening for Eve & Ruff Ryders, The Brand New Heavies and De LaSoul.Christynette has headlined at Ronnie Scott's and the Jazz Café, two of London's premier live R&B venues. In 2006 Christynette will show her potential on her new album, entitled ‘The Way I See It Is…’.
