About Me
Hey, I want to first tell you that that cool photo over there is done by my friend, Jon Howe Photography. Check him out if you need/want really great photos. I've been playing drums for a long time and loving every bit of it. I'm the drummer in a terrific blues, jump blues, and funk band called Mojambus. In Colorado I've enjoyed gigs with Pat Travis (Blues/Rock), Radio Blue (Reggae), Tempa and the Tantrums (Blues, Zydeco), The Shamans (Blues and Rock), Motation (now, The Receders. . .funk/soul), Steve Crenshaw/Brian Hornbuckle (Blues), Barry Ebert/Park Peters (Light Brigade. . .light rock), as well as national artists Carolyn Wonderland, Zora Young, Diunna Greenleaf,Phil Brown, and just this New Year's Eve, Jimmy Hall (Wet Willie, Jeff Beck, Hank Williams, Jr.). . .music's not a competition to me so I really like talking drums and I love the drumming and music community. I love to just lend whatever I can to the music and play for the music. . .I'm not a chops master although I admire that ability in others. Originally from California, I grew up in the heyday of Bay Area music of the 60's and early 70's. You could go down to People's Park in Berkeley and hear Santana on a Sunday afternoon, Tower of Power in a tiny club that night, great music everywhere you listened. The Colorado scene just seems to be improving at a pretty impressive rate and it's exciting. It spills out into the communities, too. Our little scene up here in beautiful Winter Park is getting really cool, too.
