It's All good

About Me

Greetings to my fellow inhabitants of Mother Earth :) I was raised in the country, and when I got older I was lucky enough to become a mountain man. Although I am far away from the mountain now, I brought a part of it with me to carry always. A part of me will also always be on that mountain. I guess I'm will always prefer knowledge and adventure, to safety and security. This philosophy in life is what led me to join the Army, as it gave me the opprotunity to live over in Germany for 2 years. All of my 8 great-grandparents immigrated here from Germany, so I am a 3rd Generation German American. These days are somewhat much more uneventful, but I continue on my quest to gain knowledge :) Just 7 years ago I had no idear how to even operate a computer. It did not take me long once I started using them for me to learn how to build and set them up. Of course I had help along the ways too! It was through pursuing a path I had chosen while in Germany that it led me to greatness with computers. Now I am on myspace, and it's time for me to learn how to do new things so as not too make my place too boring :) I had better since I snatched up my name for myspace :) Favorite quotes: "Knowledge is the true harvest", "Love who you are, and don't be afraid to be yourself"

My Interests

Just a few of my major interests:computers, gardening, critters, biking, music, arcade videogames, habaneros, garlic, chocolate, cooking, comic books, electronics, good beer, good green bud Green Bay Packers - GO PACK! dumpster diving

I'd like to meet:

Well...as far as celebrities go my favorites are meeting musicians after catching them perform live. I'd surely like to meet any of the Green Bay Packers, and most naturally Brett 04 Favre would be my #1 choice. I think most fans of the game no matter what team they cheer for would like to meet Brett =) Now below is a video snippet from someone I'd like to meet after I watch her play a show :) This young woman has a heart of gold and will be a superstar in years to come, mark my words :)Table, Td{ background-color:transparent;

Music:

Yikes! I trashed this section.GOOD Music =)

Movies:

I'm a HUGE Sci-Fi fan, but I like any good movie. I'm gonna have to get back on this one.The most obscure movie that is one of my top faves is "Hearts of Fire"

Television:

Monty Python, Babylon 5, Roswell, Futurama, Space: 1999, South Park, Arrested Development, According to Jim, WWE

Books:

Sirens of Titan - Kurt Vonnegut, Gor Novels - John Norman, Player Piano - Kurt Vonnegut, Philip Wylie's books, Sydney J. Harris books

Heroes:

I'm sure I have plenty so I'll start with my most recent one first. Delta Goodrem because like me she's a survivor, only greater. When asked if she was bitter about having to essentially have to start over due to her battle with Hodgkin's Lymphoma . She answered that sure it was frustrating to be almost on top of the world and to lose it. Her outlook is that she is quite happy to be alive and talk about the disappointment.I mention this because although i never had to battle cancer I did have a very close brush with death. I pretty much destroyed my right eye in an accident out in the mountains. By all rights when that 100+ year old fallen tree snapped my head should have been crushed like an aluminum can, but somehow I was able to get away. How ironic that it was the teeny tiniest nub of a broken branch which did the most harm when that tree fell on me. So yeah it sucks big time that it happened, and I am blind in one eye, but at least I am still alive to be able to say it sucks. Luckily for me it was a weak eye, so other than being able to enjoy 3-d comics and movies I am fortunate that I can do all the other things I previously could, and that my depth perception is still quite good. Had I lost my left eye THEN I would have been up shit creek without a paddle.Other heroes are Bill D. Slug. That's not his real name, but that's his Slug name. What exactly is being a Slug you ask? i'll get more into that as time goes by. A little about Bill: he lost half of his right arm, and he wears a hook which he himself invented. He allowed me the chance to live on the mountain and raise my "pet pig" Josephine, although she was also my friend. It was also where I learned to garden, and where I discovered the wonders of garlic. I howled with the coyotes and was answered. Sigh...I could go on and on :)

My Blog

I went in to get my haircut, and....

After I was done getting my haircut I asked if I could have my naturally curly hair blow dried straight.  I'd asked once to have it done years ago, but the person just wasn't skilled enough to do...

Funny how life can change in just a moment.  The change doesn't always directly happen, but often it is a result of something else happening.  My road to myspace came on a chan...
