Alli Rogers: Small Things
by Micha Boyett Hohorst, Radiant Magazine, 6/8/06
"On the cover of the record is a picture of a plumb line, a tool that does a really simple job. It reveals whether or not a wall is straight. Her songs speak that simplicity and honesty and the longing for heaven in each of us is good and true."
"Ive been listening to her album for five days straightsince the day i got it. its sort of obsessive... its so simple, but i cant get it out of my head, and thats good. "

Review: The Day of Small Things
by Kevan Breitinger, Christian Music Suite 101, 6/1/06
"I call it brave. It lays out gutsy vulnerability on a lovely bed of tender hope and inspiration. She and returning producer donnie boutwell have created another sparkling expression of hope, faith and truth. As on their earlier collaboration, Always Eden, they again sprinkled delicate grace notes of haunting beauty throughout the project"
to put it plainly, listening to alli rogers helps me to believe."
"Devastating aim. I cant rave enough about Alli Rogers. Just drop whatever youre doing and get to a music store. Fast."

Review: The Day of Small Things
by Christa Banister, 5/1/06
"Sounds like folk/pop reminiscent of Patty Griffin and Jonatha Brooke with a touch of the old-school sound of Jewel."
"At a glance Alli Rogers shows growth as a songwriter with an increasing aptitude for communicating spiritual truths in a simple yet compelling fashion."
"Now a little more than a year later, Rogers returns with her sophomore effort, The Day of Small Things, a disc that provides further evidence of the beauty of simplicity."

Review: The Day of Small Things
by Michael E. Young, The Dallas Morning News, 4/21/06
"In her second independently released cd, sweet-voiced Alli Rogers appropriates a line from Zechariah 4:10 for both her title and theme and produces songs filled with eternal hope. She writes about finding beauty in the small things of life, the little struggles, the routine, remembering that god walks with us through it all."
"simple, powerful and lovely, the day of small things is a joyful jewel. "
Review: Always Eden
by Kevan Breitinger, Grassroots Music, 1/16/06
"Sparkling with an innate intelligence and honesty that shines with the force of a lighthouse beam, Rogers presents these intimate life stories as gems wrapped in tender tones. The 11 song project has a minimalist feel to it, but its a starkness that works, and shes wise enough to include only the most pristine of additions, including Bebo Normans background vocals and Tim Rosenaus achingly lovely trumpet on music.
"alli rogers completely commands your attention with Always Eden and it is attention well spent."
