About Me

Don't forget to turn off the music player before playing the video!
What you need to know about me? This is MY FAVORITE VIDEO OF ALL TIME! "I Wanna Be Sedated" performed by Northampton MA's Young@Heart Chorus ! And here's their medley of "Stayin' Alive" and "I Will Survive"
Beyond that?
I come from a rural Upstate NY farming background, so I learned early about raising vegetables; canning, preserving, pickling and salting; fishing (I especially love ice fishing - mmmmmm, a batch of fried smelt is the best! And all you have to do is gut 'em and cut their heads off, 'cause you can eat 'em bones and all), making homemade bread and butter, cooking, raising livestock, peddling fresh eggs and strawberries, dressing chickens and hogs ( do you even know what that is ??), milking cows, driving a team, riding and showing horses, ice skating, skiing (water, snow, cross country), shoveling snow, and driving on ice. I used to be able to chew a plug of Days Work while drinking shots of whiskey. A very handy skill to have. I had piano, voice, trombone, ballet and tap lessons while a child, and still play piano. I have worked on almost all sides of the music industry - as a performer, a talent buyer, a booking agent and a manager. Now I concentrate on the PR side of things, as a publicist for The Continental Club. I have been sober for 21 years (12/27/86); I have been living in Austin for 20 years (11/25/87); and have been cigarette-free for 14 years (1/14/1994). I consider myself a born-again Texan... I can't ever be a "real" Texan because I don't eat fried or stewed okra and I don't like football. There! I said it! Does that make me a "Damn" Yankee??
You are 68% REAL Texan!!

You're way more Texan than average. You're parents were probably from here too. We're glad to have you. You probably go to the border for Christmas shopping and are well versed in BBQ, Mexican Food and .. well thats pretty much it.
How Texan Are You?

I'd like to meet:

Former President Bill Clinton ; Democratic Senior Senator from Vermont Patrick Leahy ; Brenda Lee ; Patti LaBelle .

Too Late To Meet: Poet Laureate and 4-time Pulitzer Prize winning poet, Robert Frost ; former Texas Governor Ann Richards who died of cancer on 9/13/06; Gene Pitney who died in his hotel room in Wales of heart failure after a performance. I did get to see him perform in Burlington VT in 1966, but never did get to meet him. Bummer.

Centuries Too Late To Meet: sculptor/architect/painter Gian Lorenzo Bernini ; painter/engraver/poet William Blake ; painter/sculptor/inventor/engineer/mathematician, the ultimate artist Leonardo da Vinci , who also studied, and made astonishingly accurate drawings of, and observations about, astronomy, mathematics, aviation, engineering (hydraulic, nautical, military & mechanical), anatomy, biology, zoology, botany, geology, geography, and paleontology. Forget The da Vinci Code. The real Leonardo was much more interesting than that pap.
