I am putting together a very cool show down in Riverwalk in Fort Lauderdale Saturday July 21st...it will be a very cool evening with performances by some great singer-songwriters...dig it:In May I played at The Artist In Residence thing at South Shores in Lake Worth it was cool. When I am not foraging for tasty leaves, seeds, fruits, & flowers & ranging widely to avoid extinction due to deforestation in Bhutan I listen to 'Swim With The Devilfish To The Other Side Of Morning' by Jon Ryczek's World Beat Down on my IPOD, if you get it - you can dig it too!"I have been writing and recording for years and years now I was the bass player for Spinning Room and/or One Big Magic for 10 years sang and played guitar in the jazz-rock project Badself with saxophonist Tony Harris, I was the guitarist for the mod-punk Dog 5 Trio and I was a co-conspirator on the self title debut and the highly acclaimed Stray Dogma around the same time I caught up with old high school band mate Matt Hake and we recorded a pretty cool disc of acoustic material we used to play in bars and coffee house crowds which was really fun, we called it JAM! ...in 2003 I moved to South Florida from Niagara Falls after 15 years of gigging from Buffalo to Cleveland Albany to NYC Boston Toronto and places in between....I have been a band member or studio musician on 22 recordings and I have my own indie record label - going strong since 1994! Band Members: Me & my SG, oh & where would we be without the '66 Ampeg 'Jet' & the R212R 'ReverbeRocket'....Mostly myself though a number of talented musicians and singers have joined me over the years...I use a variety of acoustic and electric guitars, mandolins, recorder, keyboards & synthesizers, samples, basses and electric and acoustic drums, didgeridoo... that being said I also love hand drums and percussion of various sorts and from various parts of the world (tablas, djembe, kalumba, etc)....I use it sparingly or to a fault depending on what kind of mood I'm in (ha)...and ANYTHING that has a strange or different percussive sound I will use.... I will pretty much play or use anything I can figure out how to play and I'm always looking....oh I just got cool new analog gear, and glad of that we all are.... the Mu-Tron Micro V Envelope Filter!I've done a little updating on my bass-rigg...dig it!Of course where would I be with out my accountants...
