About three years ago, Yancy and William set out to create and industrial rock band that was unlimited by a set genre of music, where they could be as innovative and creative as they wished to be. Finding other individuals that were as stylistically open minded proved to be quite difficult. They auditioned many excellent musicians but the chemistry was never quite right. After nine months had passed, they gained Patrick and Nick who were both well rounded, open minded, and excellent musicians. Synthetic Nightmare played their first show to one of the largest turnouts in recent years of Richmond's Goth/Industrial scene. This first performance secured them a well known name and much anticipation of what is to come.
Since the creation of Synthetic Nightmare, Yancy has since parted ways with the band, and the well known singer/writer/director Fabian Rush has taken his place as lead singer. New songs are constantly being created, and the next evolution of Synthetic Nightmare is forming.
Currently the band is in final production of their first full length studio album with Final Symphony Productions. They are playing as many performances as they can to increase their fan base and sharpen their performance skills, and recently opened for My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult at ROCKS in Richmond.
Nick Coon
Formerly of metal band Phoenix Thorn. Nick has been playing guitar, bass, and keys for 11 years.
William Macabre
Playing electric and upright bass for 10 years.
Patrick DeRoche
Formerly of Vulgar Remark, The Quakers, Dark Haven, and Yo Mama. Patrick has been playing drums for 13 years as well as bass, and keys.
Fabian Rush
Fabian has been singing for about 10 years, and put out a solo goth industrial album under the name Lunar Melee.
Rat Bastard
Formerly of Dead New Year. Rat has been playing guitar for 16 years
