About Me

Well bugger me, where do I start? I was born in the wagon of a travelling show. Momma used to dance for the money they'd throw. Whoops, no that's Cher. Actually I'm a born and bred Dunedinite. Spent my younger years brooding around Bradford Primary, tiny place, but great bunch of people, bar a couple of wanker teachers. Moved on to Kenmure Intermidiate, where according to legend, you could buy sex with a mince pie and it was ok to use gladwrap with a rubber band as contraception. Unfortunately I must have been looking the wrong way when the gladwrap was handed out. The formative teenage years were spent at Kaikorai Valley High School (now College). Apparantly the exchange of fluids could only be bought with a mince & cheese here. A little too rich for my blood. One year out from the mighty 'Kaik' I enroled in the Otago Institute of Television, Theatre & Radio, completed one year, decided that my student loan was looking a tad too HUGE (this was back when you could get lump sums. a god damn stupid idea in hind sight, but my god did I have a nice stereo!)so went off and worked as a projectionist for 5 years. Also in 1998 I began working at Radio One (Dunedin's student radio station) initially midnight - dawn on a Friday night, or as I like to call it, "the comatose zone". Then worked up through the ranks becoming a Drive host and up until the start of 2006, when I left was hosting Friday Drive. 8 years well spent, unbelievable times! 2002 I went and graduated from the Otago Institute of.....the following year I Co-presented and Co-produced COW TV the local student television show. 5 nights a week of live tele, if you can survive that, you can survive anything. In 2004 I became the music correspondent for COW and was at this point also working as a Sales Rep for Radio One & Critic Magazine. In March of 2006 I relocated to Auckland to work on ALT TV starting out on a show elegantly entitled "Square Peg, Round Hole" which screened on Friday nights. I then progressed to the countdown show, "The Dogs Bollix Top 5" and until recently found myself co-hosting the channels flagship show "The Residents" Mon - Fri, 7 - 7.30pm.That's all I'm gonna ramble about for now. Your probably sitting there hitting yourself in the head with your own shoe (as opposed to somebody elses?) so let's get to know each other. We ain't going anywhere fast, so in the words of Rodney King "Can't we all just get along?"
