Right now...Scrabble. Scrabble and puppy dogs. I'm both smart and sensitive. I f#ckin' love puppies!!!
Barack Obama. Now that Kucinich is out, I think he's the realest of deals we have left.
All forms and genres are valid frameworks for musical expression. However, my favorite piece of music in the universe is the Partita number 2 in D minor for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach. I highly recommend Lara St. John's interpretation. It's F*ckin' amazing!!!
I admire filmmakers who, to paraphrase the movie Wonderboys, respect the audience enough to forget us. Movies that understand the difference between character and characterization. I don't want to be force-fed the emotion of every scene. Tell me a story, and let me decide how to fuck*ng feel about it.
Mostly in this order: Deadwood, The Office(British), Arrested Development, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, anything by Bill Moyers. That is all that is worth wasting time on on the Boob Tube...f*#k.
I don't get the chance to read anywhere close to as much as I would like. Some of my favorite authors: Thomas Pynchon, Kurt Vonnegut, Christopher Moore, Orson Scott Card, Umberto Eco, Robert Anton Wilson, Douglas F'ing Adams, Frank Herbert, Amy Hempel, Chuck Palanhiuk.
Jon Stewart, Will Ferrell, Stephen Colbert, whoever invented cheese...I guess I have to say Gandhi. I'd sound like an a-hole if I didn't say that I found his non-violent approach to a drastic situation to be a shining example of the triumph of the human spirit over the dark forces at work in our world that keep us from expressing or experiencing the boundless love and joy intended for us by our creator (Not that I'm saying there is one.) Only a real F#cking dick would forget to say Gandhi.
