About Me

My life's mission is to overcome the tyranny of pants. I came into this world pantsless, and by God I intend to leave it that way.Create or get your

My Interests

Right now...Scrabble. Scrabble and puppy dogs. I'm both smart and sensitive. I f#ckin' love puppies!!!

I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama. Now that Kucinich is out, I think he's the realest of deals we have left.

Music:

All forms and genres are valid frameworks for musical expression. However, my favorite piece of music in the universe is the Partita number 2 in D minor for solo violin by Johann Sebastian Bach. I highly recommend Lara St. John's interpretation. It's F*ckin' amazing!!!

Movies:

I admire filmmakers who, to paraphrase the movie Wonderboys, respect the audience enough to forget us. Movies that understand the difference between character and characterization. I don't want to be force-fed the emotion of every scene. Tell me a story, and let me decide how to fuck*ng feel about it.

Television:

Mostly in this order: Deadwood, The Office(British), Arrested Development, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Countdown with Keith Olbermann, anything by Bill Moyers. That is all that is worth wasting time on on the Boob Tube...f*#k.

Books:

I don't get the chance to read anywhere close to as much as I would like. Some of my favorite authors: Thomas Pynchon, Kurt Vonnegut, Christopher Moore, Orson Scott Card, Umberto Eco, Robert Anton Wilson, Douglas F'ing Adams, Frank Herbert, Amy Hempel, Chuck Palanhiuk.

Heroes:

Jon Stewart, Will Ferrell, Stephen Colbert, whoever invented cheese...I guess I have to say Gandhi. I'd sound like an a-hole if I didn't say that I found his non-violent approach to a drastic situation to be a shining example of the triumph of the human spirit over the dark forces at work in our world that keep us from expressing or experiencing the boundless love and joy intended for us by our creator (Not that I'm saying there is one.) Only a real F#cking dick would forget to say Gandhi.

My Blog

Libertarian is a stupid word

I wish I blogged more. I always stop caring half-way through a post, though. I've noticed that the Ron Paul people have camped out at the intersection of Moreland and Freedom Parkway. ARE YOU FUCKI...

Movies should NEVER suck.

This is but the first in a series of discussions about why it is important that people stop making bad movies. There is way more to come. I do not think that it is acceptable for ANY movie to forgo c...

Fuck Brett Ratner

I haven't blogged in a while, but what I experienced last night has moved me to speak.  X-Men 3: The Last Stand is terrible.  I makes a mockery of everything Bryan Singer was trying to achie...

Personal Realization

I have recently come to terms with an aspect of my personality that I was not sure I was comfortable with. I over analyze life. (That's not the thing, but it has to do with the thing.) I over analy...

Balls

What a thoroughly satisfying word. Balls. As in, "Ohh, Balls." Or even, "What the Balls?" Or perhaps, "That is so Balls." You know what word does not have the gravitas of Balls, but is physic...

I swear to God

I wonder what would happen if you were actually in the presence of the Divine Being, and you tried to say something like "Fuckin' A," or "Shitballs." Do you think Heaven has a five-second delay, like...

A little bit of history

So, I was in D.C. two weekends ago. When trying to drive around D.C., don't even bother with a Road Map. It just gives you a false sense of confidence. So, after extensive research and even more ex...
