About Me

I am Hart Deer, an Atlanta musician. I specialize in rock, jazz, and classical music. In the Old World, the purpose of music or any other form of art was to elevate the
spirit. In the New World, musicians serve as mere cultural icons whose purpose
is to communicate looks, attitudes, lingo, and other trappings of artificially programmed
cultural identities. I am an artist of the Old World Order. My purpose in being is
to further the elevation of spirit through art. Thank you, Kit, for making that so
clear to me.I believe that Rock 'n' Roll is the most diverse and freest form of music. The legacy
of rock music also lends a grand affordance to turbulent change. I believe the world
can shake itself from the bondage of apathy and the myriad stagnant patterns which
repeat themselves in modernity. I believe in a future that is surprising, unimaginably
beautiful, and rich in substance. What is needed is inspiration, fellowship, and
cataclysmic cathartic catalysts.Rock music is the sword I wield in hopes making such a difference. I hope you like
what you hear. Thank you for dropping by!For more free music and free videos, be sure to check out all the excitement at http://www.hartdeer.netHere is a video of me from a recent interview, trying to explain myself:

Why is it Bad to Create Trillions of Dollars?

The only thing that hedges the US against hyperinflation is the status of the dollar as a reserve currency for the world. A "reserve currency" is a currency that other central banks use as a basis fo...

Inside You, There is a Genius

When the genius sleeps, you become stuck in a rut.  You cannot escape your circumstances.  You are utterly confounded and unable to move towards a better life.  You cannot overcome; you cannot win.  L...

I Am at Heart a Primitive Savage

"I am at heart a primitive savage," I wrote earlier today while attempting to resolve a mysterious conflict.  My intent in that statement was to use self-deprecating humor to defuse what could be (for...

Reflections on Obama's Inaugural Address

Ultimately, there were for me many causes of deep concern, but most of them would have been expected from McCain as well, and he would have brought some of his own unique baggage to the table.  I did ...

Chinese Democracy

I don't like it.  The musicianship is okay, but none of the songs seem to have any vision.  No memorable lyrics, or melodies, or unique production goals... just GNR jamming out, sounding vag...
