I ain't pretty but I don't care / 'Cause I'm the dude with the ginger hair

About Me

"The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong."
- Gandhi

I'm eighteen years old, six-foot-something tall, thinner than a rake and most importantly - ginger. I currently live at the arse of the Humber (a.k.a. Barton) with my small yet eccentric family where I work part-time as a checkout operator when I'm not at home on the Internet, watching DVDs, or just generally slacking off.

Websites:

In my spare time I'm acting webmaster for World Fantasy Award-winner Garry Kilworth ; short story authors Michael Stone , Steven Deighan , and Barry J. House ; and graphic designer for Hadesgate Publications .

Publishing/editing:

I co-edited the well-reviewed horror/crime anthology Badass Horror (with Michael Stone) and the earlier, not-so-successful, Cold Glass Pain. In 2007 I'm launching my own home-based publishing company and editing two chapbook anthologies.

Sadd-hang

So they finally hung the fucker. All these "Human Rights" organisations really make me laugh though. "The hanging of Mr. Hussein was a grave violation of his human rights, blah, blah, blah." Do us all...

Editor woes

Rejecting bad stories is easy. There was as time when I felt that I had to read them all the way through no matter how bad they got, but now I just skim the first couple of pages and if it doesn't hoo...

The Work Situation

My sick note runs out in a couple of weeks and seeing as I can't see them extending it any further (I'm pretty much patched up now), I really need to take a long hard look at my current work situation...

Reformatting

Until I can afford to increase my RAM (from 512MB to at least 1GB) I was thinking of reformatting my hard drive as I've heard that that's another good way of giving your system a speed boost (and not ...

Mum has forty pounds of pot on her ankle... can't sell any of it

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, book maker man. Make me a book as fast as you can

Launching my own publishing company is good and all but with only two books coming out a year, I'm still going to have a lot of spare time on my hands. That's why I've decided to kick-start a series o...
