I have an unhealthy obsession with ACCORDIONS. The library as an institution runs a close second. But Accordions are my love. I am on a mission. A mission to prove to Americans that the Accordion can be a beautiful, graceful instrument. "It is NOT funny! It's Art!" err, something like that.
I DECREE THIS TO NOW BE: THE 'BOOK I JUST READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH, YIPPEE FOR ME' SECTION!

You're Catch-22!
by Joseph Heller
Incredibly witty and funny, you have a taste for irony in all that you see. It seems that life has put you in perpetually untenable situations, and your sense of humor is all that gets you through them. These experiences have also made you an ardent pacifist, though you present your message with tongue sewn into cheek. You could coin a phrase that replaces the word "paradox" for millions of people.

THIS IS MY HUBBY(we have an open marriage):
1. LIBRARY.
2. ACCORDION.
3. PHILOSOPHY, AND BICYCLETTE.
4. CIRCUS.
5. ABSURDISM, AND COSTUMES.
6. BOOKS.
I RECENTLY BECAME ENGAGED TO THE AWESOMEST BOY IN THE WORLD. HE PROPOSED IN GRANADA, SPAIN- ONE OF MY FAVORITE CITIES. MY LIFE HAS CHANGED DRAMATICALLY AND FOR THE BETTER SINCE 2005. MY FAVORITE ACTIVITY OTHER THAN PLAYING ACCORDION, IS HOLDING MY FIANCEE'S HAND. AWWWWW :) DRINKING ESPRESSO WITH HIM IS NICE TOO. AND TRAVELING THE WORLD IS PRETTY COOL TOO. WE JUST RETURNED FROM A FIVE MONTH ADVENTURE IN WHICH WE SAW AND TASTED AND SMELLED AND TOUCHED MANY THINGS. NINE COUNTRIES: IRELAND, SPAIN, SCOTLAND, ITALY, GREECE, GERMANY, POLAND, FRANCE AND MOROCCO. WE'VE RETURNED TO LAS VEGAS TO RECOVER AND SAVE AND PLAN OUR NEXT BIG ADVENTURE! WHO KNOWS WHAT IT WILL BE? WE'VE ALSO RETURNED TO PLAN OUR WEDDING...WHICH IS IN ITSELF A MYSTERY TO ME. HOW DOES A CREATIVE, PENNILESS AND HAPPY GIRL PLAN A WEDDING? I HATE WEDDING MAGS AND ALL THE GIRLS WHO ARE INTO SPENDING THOUSANDS OF THEIR DADDY'S DOLLARS TRYING TO CREATE "THE PERFECT DAY" WHEN ALL THAT'S NEEDED IS A GATHERING OF ONE'S LOVED ONES, A BIT OF FOOD AND PLACE TO HAVE A GOOD TIME. UGH. YEAH...THIS THING IS GOING TO BE DIY.
I WENT THROUGH A ROUGH COUPLE OF YEARS...JANUARY OF 2006 I DECIDED TO QUIT DRINKING AND SMOKING. YOU SEE, I HAD A BIT OF A DRINKING 'PROBLEM'. I HAVE BEEN NICOTINE-LESS AND SOBER FOR A YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS NOW!!!! WHICH IS AMAZING TO ME, AND I FEEL LIKE I HAVE A NEW LIFE. LIVING SEEMS SO MUCH MORE FUN NOW, AND I HAVE FOUND JOY IN THE SIMPLEST OF THINGS.
HUGS, HANDHOLDING, MAKING THINGS, PLAYING MUSIC AND FEELING THE SUN ON MY FACE. CONVERSATION, COFFEE, AND GOOD MEALS WITH FRIENDS. TRAVELING AND HANGING OUT WITH MY FIANCEE AND PUTZING AROUND WITH GARAGEBAND AND PLAYING ANIMAL CROSSING.
THESE ARE WONDERFUL THINGS AND I AM SO GLAD THAT I AM HERE TO APPRECIATE THEM.
IT IS STILL ONE DAY AT A TIME, JUST LIKE THE SAYING GOES. I HAVE ALSO CUT DOWN DRASTICALLY ON MY SUGAR INTAKE RECENTLY TOO. A LITTLE AT A TIME...
I LIVE WITH OCD, AND I HAVE BEEN THROUGH MAJOR DEPRESSION. AND EVEN THOUGH I AM FEELING POSITIVE RIGHT NOW, I HAVE FINALLY COME TO ACCEPT THAT DEPRESSION IS A LIFELONG BATTLE. THAT SOMEHOW MAKES IT EASIER.
I AM LEARNING SO MANY THINGS...
LIFE IS GOOD.
I AM IN LERRRRV.
AND I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT MUSIC AND PLAYING THE ACCORDION.

HOROSCOPE TIME! BREAK IT DOWN. I AM A:
LIBRA/ WOOD/ RABBIT.
"Rabbits are easily moved to tears through words, thoughts and actions. They are deeply sensitive people who shun conflict. Rabbits tend to be a little moody and are sometimes influenced by the friends they have.
The Rabbit lover would never dream of wearing his heart on his sleeve. The Rabbit seems aloof, yet underneath is sensual and loving - a tough facade protects a tender interior. Rabbit folk are romantic yet realistic, generous yet mercenary. Rabbits are strongly Yin and, whether male or female, are in tune with the feminine part of their psyche. Their mothering instinct compels them to nurture others, and they have an innate love of home and family.
Despite their cool exterior, they have a reputation for being very sexual and intimate beings. Although they may go a little crazy in their youth, they will commit themselves readily to a partner for life.
Supremely pleasant to have around, these affectionate, naturally shy peacemakers seldom ever lose their temper. They sometimes appear to be singing the blues because of a natural but short-lived tendency towards despondency. Rabbits always inspire deep admiration and trust.
From the time Wood Rabbits were small children delighting in Story Time, Wood Rabbits have pursued knowledge. Charming conversationalists, they regale others with anecdotal glimpses into literature, history, and current events. They are lifelong members of the Legendary Rendezvous for People in the Arts and are frequenters of bookstores, libraries, and halls of academia.
Their innate cunning makes them superb players not only in the game of chess but the game of life. No wrong moves allowed! Wood Rabbits are alert to new experiences, hang-loose philosophically, and very generous to friends and loved ones.
Ginger Soup and Ginger Noodles are among the keys to good health!!

Television:

I've only seen television in passing on occasion now and then, but I don't own cable and have no TV right now. I am very happy about it. Sometimes when I am feeling lonely, I will put Iron Chef on for soothing background noise. But the tv in my room never changes the channel. When I have kids someday, I don't think I want cable. Just a tv with PBS and a dvd player for movies, History channel specials, and The Muppets Tonight shows. Besides, we'll all be too busy riding bikes, reading stories to each other, playing musical instruments in the parlour, having picnics and laughing way too much at each other's silliness that tv will not be missed.
