The son of singer/songwriter Doug Dorman, Matt got his first guitar at the age of 5. He wrote his first song at the age of 10. Matt was in his first band (the Klitt) in his hometown of Manistique, Michigan, in 9th grade.Matt played guitar in various small groups and wrote songs throughout his 20's and 30's. In Tucson, Matt was in a band called "Maiden Voyage". Then in Las Vegas, Matt fronted "The Matt Dorman Band". Since then, Matt has been performing a monthly concert at a Las Vegas group recovery center called "Westcare's Healthy Families Project". Matt has an open invite to artists major or not, to come and perform with him and his friends at any time. Matt continues to write songs, with over 200 completed songs and 500 in-progress songs in his catalog.Matt's had some success in his songwriting. He's had cuts on 12 cd releases, and one title cut. He's had 6 charted radio releases, with "Another You" going as high as number 3 in the independant charts. Matt has been featured in various magazine and e-magazine articles. "Dreams" debuted at number 12. Artist Cheryl K.
