About Me

Writing music about my own faith journey and the roadblocks Christians face in today’s world allows me to place God at the center of my life. Because of my interactions with youth and teaching, I write about the importance of prayer and knowing who we are. I look at this wonderful world God has put before us and remember there is always hope. My Father and Mother made sure that our family had a personal relationship with Jesus. Our faith and faith formation was a focal point within our large family. At the same time, so was music. My father often played for us on his guitar. He did what any good father would; he passed on that gift of music to his children. I grew up in a large family, seven children and two loving parents. With so many individuals I was exposed to every genre of music imaginable. I've always held a deep devotion towards roots style music. A few of my songs are featured in the Perception Films release Objects of Wrath. This is a story about doing God's will, not your own. The DVD also features a music video for the acoustic version of "Alive and Well." Recently, I have become involved with the Westcares Healthy Family Project concert series headed up by Matt Dorman. These outreach concerts have been a wonderful experience and I am proud to be a part of them with Matt.
