Howdy!!! Welcome to MY WORLD!!! Well to start off with I live in Waco, Texas. I am retired as a DJ. But I am very much active in the Country Music realm..AS I DO NOT SING or PLAY any Instrument.
Country Music, Bluegrass, Folk is my lust in life. I grew up with the sound of music in my home..
My mother had a radio going on all the time..from dawn to dusk. As we were raised on a ranch..YA YA..
I grew up on a horse. worked cattle, feed chickens. and if you grew up were I did you would understand.. NO TV.. We Lived in the mountains of New Mexico.
Cattle Country..go to town 32 miles one way to get small goods and 52 miles to get the months supply. Mother and OMG should I say this had 9 children..Well like I said NO TV..lol
We had a small garden. Mom would can and sew, Iron clothes. IRON CLOTHES and DANCE
in the living room. to Hank Williams. Hank Snow, Hank Thompson. Rex Allen.. If it was Country that is all that was played in our home..
My Step Father, well was a rancher. worked out all the time for other large ranches, We all so pastured steers. and had our own cattle to tend to. Learned to drive a truck. FORD and if you
remember the INTERNATIONAL HARVEST truck.. well not to say the least at the age of 9 years old.
We lived in Arizona, Anita. Were I first went to school. at the age of 4.
My older sister, introduced me to playing hookie, lol form naps and coloring books,
that day was one that I no matter how old I am will not forget..
We took our 30 cent lunch money, went to the edge of the Grand Canyon. and played all day in time to get back to school. Showed a old man how to blow bubbles with the bubble gum we bought. Made it back to school to meet my Mother at the school door.
PARTY TIME OVER..Not that easy..no grounding here..We got out butts tanned in fount of all the school. That lead me not to do that stunt ever again..
Life on a ranch is very hard, but we still have ranchers..
I went to school in New Mexico, and later went to live with my grandparents and moved to Colorado. I attend high school there and some collage..
Fell in LOVE, had a daughter.. She is a honey, raised her in Colorado. Mo. La, and well big towns. are not for single parents if they want to have some kind of peace and keep there children safe..We moved to Texas.
This one daughter has married and has 2 wonderful children.
So you see I am BLESSED.
I am a professional Baker, Decorator.. I was in management for Marriott Food Service
and i worked at a large plant as the only Female Incinerator Operator, in the state of Texas.
My love is photography. Yes I did that too. Made a living with it. Still do it but not as a paying one.
