I'm Garance (it's French for a flower/shade of red--actually, I was named after a character in the old WWII-era film Children of Paradise). I'm currently studying Illustration at the Fashion Institute of Technology, but I have no idea what I want to do in the future. I love all things strange and beautiful, including but not limited to: Nature, insects, art nouveau, renaissance paintings, anything medeival or Victorian, jewelry, vintage photographs, etc.
I'm also into cute things (i.e. Hello Kitty), anime and manga, the Smashing Pumpkins, mythology, foreign cultures, ethnic food, bubble tea, and tattoos and body art (when they're actually tasteful). I love to walk and explore shops, museums, parks, cafes, restaurants, or whatever else catches my interest.
I used to go to clubs, but I got bored of it so now I'm a hermit.
I have many roommates, including two humans, two cats, a Madagascar hissing cockroach, a fat gecko and three tarantulas (all of which are adorable ^__^). Disrespect the Earth, litter or be an asshole to animals and I'll probably hate you.
