I am a one man think tank.

About Me

Can I really describe myself and give you, the reader, an accurate delineation of myself? The written word is limited in the sense that the reader may have unknown connotations with certain words which I, the author, will be unaware of; and vice a versa. But I'll try.Me: act spastic and hyper masking my real age, but being married to a woman younger than myself helps with that as well. I plan on aging ungracefully and to eventually become a mad scientist to take over the world. Not necessarily in that order...

My Interests

Ska ska ska, Frank Zappa, Burning Man, Bucky Fuller, Theramin, Burning Man, insects, spiders, bats, Burning Man, tattoos, peircings, Burning Man, writing (mostly fiction of the science orientation), cryptozoology, Tesla (the man not the band) and of course, Burning Man. Trumpets and concertinas should deffinately be mentioned too.

I'd like to meet:

Me, ten years from now.

Music:

Just about anything w/ horns. Also: Frank Zappa, Tom Waits, nearly all reggea and ska, Circus Contraption, Gogol BordelloThomas Dolby, The Cat Empire, on and on and on.Minimulist bands I like include White Stripes, Dresden Dolls, Timbuck 3, The Clash, The Police.....

Movies:

The Road Warrior, Blade Runner, Unbreakable, The Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D and most of Tim Burton's work, to name just a few.

Television:

I keep my boob-tube on a short leash. I allow it only a few hours of exercise a week, at most. Since it is only good for entertainment (true information from it is suspect at best), that is all I use it for - and only for DVDs now, since we got rid of cable.

Books:

Too numerous to list, but here are a few: "Grendal" by John Gardner, "Island of Dr. Moreau" by H. G. Wells and "The Green Brain" by Frank Herbert are three that come to mind right away. Also, China Mieville's "Perdido Street Station" and Chuck Palahniuk's "Lullaby."

Heroes:

Other than my father, all my other heros are either dead or fictional (or both). Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Frank Zappa, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Bucky Fuller, Clifford "Brownie" Brown, Nicola Tesla...
