DAN JACOBS BIO
His name is included on the list of "AMERICAN JAZZ TRUMPETERS," and he has toured extensively in Asia, Mexico, Canada, Europe and the United States, performing on the world stage with big bands, jazz combos and public touring acts since 1966.
LIVE PERFORMANCE: As a soloist and/or section player, he has performed, toured and/or recorded with headliners such as Bob James, Maria Schneider, Wayne Newton, Frank Sinatra, Jr., Mel Tormé, Johnny Mathis, Linda Rondstadt, Aaron Neville, The Four Tops, The Temptations, The Lettermen, Lala Brooks & The Crystals, Kenny Rogers, Billy Dean, Bobby Vinton, Jesus Christ Superstar road show, U.S. Navy Band, various Los Angeles bands, and individual artists such as, Wayne Bergeron, Bill Watrous, Chuck Findley, Jon Faddis, Ron Eschete, Bobby Shew, Dr. Thom Mason, Joe Davis, Chuck Flores, Scott Martin, Andy Martin, Stan Martin, Dr. Warrick Carter, John Pezanelli, Walt Johnson, Roger Ingram, Greg Gisbert, Claudio Roditi, Mel Dalton, John Novello, Denis Solee, Tommy Brechtlein, Dr. Pascal Bokar, Rob McConnell, Woody Herman, Gerald Wilson, Gene Krupa, Al Green and many others.

AWARDS & RECOGNITION Dan received the award for "OUTSTANDING SOLOIST" at the Notre Dame Music Festival in 1968 and DOWNBEAT MAGAZINE wrote a positive review of his performance.
Dan was the featured jazz soloist on an award-winning CD entitled, "Adventure Accidentele" by vocalist/guitarist, Danielle Hebert. The CD won the Canadian Music Awards highest honor, "THE JUNO."

AWARDS AND HONORS: As a Navy Band musician while attending the prestigious Navy School of Music, Dan was honored to participate as part of the honor guard for the funeral of President John F. Kennedy in 1963 in Washington, DC.
Dan received an award for "OUTSTANDING JAZZ SOLOIST" at the Notre Dame Jazz Festival in 1968 followed with a rave review in DOWNBEAT MAGAZINE of his performance.
