PeaceOUT UK is an extension and part of past and on-going gay hip-hop festivals held in the USA. The first PeaceOUT event started in Oakland, California in 2002 and since it has spread over the different states including last years successful PeaceOUT East festival held in New York.
Now this international movement has come to Europe and it was the UK to be the first to host it, organised by Pac-Man and gayhiphop.com. The event focuses on providing live performances by rappers, singers and scratch DJ s from the homo-hop scene plus include the other aspects of hip-hop culture such as beatboxing, breaking and graffiti.
Although the event itself is a gay hip-hop festival, it is not exclusively for a gay audience. We wish to bring the talents of the gay hip-hop community to the forefront and to display this to a wider appreciating audience. So whether you are gay, straight, bisexual, undecided, black, white, yellow male, female or transgender - all are welcome to event as the focus is on the music and the celebration of it.
