Where do we start? Straight out of Hustln' City, the female Rykashay has already begun to create a buzz larger than the unemployment line. With flawless flows, soulful singing, and a hint of producing/engineering this young lady was bless with it all. Although there's competition none of them compare to the sounds of Rykashay! With 9 yrs. of ryhmin' experience and 5 yrs. of a hustln' grind NOBODY can stop her! Not to mention the fact she's an amatuer boxer willing to fight her way to the top. Knowing the struggles of music she created her own label and studio called, "SumTalkBout Records, Inc." holding down every aspect of music. Rykashay's no beginneer with numerous shows under her belt blazeing states from Atlanta to Texas. Beyond winning local talent shows, she reached the audition finals in the 1st Making the Band, and the Missy Elliot Project....check the rap sheet. She has opened for artists such as Young Jeezy, Yo Gotti, Young Dro, Pastor Troy, Bohagan, B2K, Lloy..... Not only does she have excellence stage presence, she was the one of the first to start a hiphop movement dealing with struggling unsigned artist. With thus being said she began "It's Goin' Down Tuesdays" in WS, NC and "It's Goin' Down Fridays" in Charlotte, NC. Both being successful purpose wise, but failed due to the location/club not supporting hiphop music and/or club closing due to slow buisness sales throughout week. That still didn't stop the hustln' mastermind. From this point she began "Unsigned Tuesdays" in Charlotte@ Bahama Mama's. As of June 6, 2007 "Lyrical Wednesdays" will began @ Club Pepper's 2801 N. Main St. High Point, NC EVERY 1st Wednesday of the month! Since this was for the 18 & older crowd...she started "Young & Restless Fridays" every Friday @ Club Dejavu 3401 Indiana Ave. WS, NC for the 18 & under! These events are open to aspiring local artists. I guess you just can't stop a hustlr, huh? Even though the buisness mind seperates her alone, she also stands out due to her sexual preference. Her music is not purposely directed to the gay market, but happens to fall in place since she keeps a "Bad One". Once again, this hustlr stays on top of her market and began the new "Girls on Girls" Thursdays. This started in Charlotte and then "Alternative Thursdays" @ Club Peppers in High Point, NC! Outside of the club thing, Rykashay gives back to the community and participates in weekly volunteering. She volunteers every 2nd & 4th monday @ Samaritan Ministries (Soup Kitchen), works with disabled individuals when needed.... She has stimulated a movement to encourage other young people to give back as well. Individuals such as Ashley Dixson, King James, Dimeunique, Talayia & Greg Mcbride have already been influenced to give back to the community thru this movement! She has now created the S.T.B. Movement ( Sharing...Teaching....Believing...) which constantly takes place, but starting Jan. 19th she will throw the 1st annual homeless/less fortunate event. Yea...this girl is way out of her box.....lol.... She has released her mixtape, Re-Up...The Series... "Grindn' Aint Eazy" Vol.1 in 07', which are available in stores and streets! She has blazed numerous mixtapes ranging from DJ Barry Bee in NC to DJ Toe Jam in Texas... "Audio Crack" her sophmore album is the next album release from this talented young lady. Speaking of HeadBanger...the NEW HIT SINGLE titled, "HeadBanger" produced by Teddy Bishop, will be available 08'. Speaking of the hit single, she will be performing HeadBanger live @ the Queen City Music Awards December 17th as well as being nominated for best hiphop artist. She also has been nominated for best female artist and single in the North Carolina Underground Music Awards being held February 23rd in greensoro, nc (day before bday!) Since she stays on her grind, the release of the mixtape, "Carlolina Hustla" will hit the streets from the east to the west coast... hosted by NC's DJ ESUDD. The next anticipated album "Audio Crack" will hit the streets late 08'. She believes in the concept "Its not how many you drop, but what you do with the material you got!"
