About Me

Vocalist Stephanie Braganza has been performing and singing since the age of twelve. In preparation for music school she studied with guitarist and music teacher, Bernie O’Connor, and was accepted at several music schools, notably Queens University for Clarinet and Tenor Saxophone. She decided to attend the jazz music program at Humber College for Voice as this was her foremost passion and strength. She has graduated from Humber under the tutelage of such teachers as Pat Labarbra, Rik Emmett, and Trish Colter. She sang in a funk/R&B band for 3 years called The Funktion and in her first and second year at Humber College, she made it to the top R&B/funk ensemble – Blue Jackets Required. In addition, she has done commercials, jingles, corporate jazz gigs and weddings, and has sung in musicals such as: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and Godspell and recorded a demo for a songwriter that was produced and heard by session player Jason Fowler, producer David Nelson and Michael Bolton. This year Stephanie sang backup for rap artist Belly and Ginuwine at the 2007 Muchmusic Video Awards. Now, after her final year at Humber, she is continuing to showcase her talents all over Toronto at such places as Ciao Eddie’s, Bier Markt, The Trane Studio, The Unicorn, Lee’s Palace, The Horseshoe, Smiling Buddha, etc.
