Bringers of Torture (BOT) was founded early 2006 by Nocturnasz and Charagnanna. Both members were playing in WARLUST from 1998 until their silent demise in 2001. Nocturnasz continued to play with Furor (another Warlust member) in PESTIS and Charagnanna focused on his other bands (a.o. Israthoum, Caym, Opaque, Unshrouded Bitterness etc). In the meantime Charagnanna also started his recording studio called "Uncle S. Recordings" (www.bitternessproductions.nl).
They lost contact over the years, but in December 2005 they got in touch again as PESTIS wanted to record a demo. During the recordings they started to talk about doing a project together and a few weeks later they already found themselves recording some tracks.
Their only purpose is to pay hommage to the old masters of extreme metal.
