PESTIS: Spreading Black Death Exclusively!
It's the end of the year 1998 when the concept of PESTIS was created. Back then Nocturnasz and Furor played in WARLUST
a band which produced Black Metal inspired by the theme of war (musically aswell as lyrical wise).
Both men also had some ideas for a side projectso they started to compose music and a couple of songs were written...
The project was soon to be called TUMOR.
A theme which started to catch their attention more and more was plague. This way the idea began to rise to use the plague-theme as lyrical foundation.
Soon they composed about 5 songs, and at that time they decided to change the name into PESTIS
this fitted perfect in the whole concept.
As time went by Warlust began to take more and more time and PESTIS got less and less attention and slowly faded...
Time passed on, gigs and recordings of Warlust took place, but at the end of 2001 Warlust decide to pull the plug.
This meant Nocturnasz and Furor where out of a job and
now they had time to join forces for PESTIS again.
Since it was so long ago that they played PESTIS songs
lot's of stuff was lost in time and memory...
New plague hymns where written and rehearsed...
Now it's the end of 2005 and finally after lot's of delays
The first PESTIS song is finally recorded!!!
Captured at BITTERNESS PRODUCTIONS the studio of Warlust vocalist Charagnanna.
Nocturnasz is also in a black thrash project called B.O.T. (Bringers of Torture) with Charagnnana.
In 2006 a re-release of Warlust's The Final War (mcd)
will be done by the label REGIMENTAL RECORDS
Which also released the "Trench War" cd of Warlust.
This re-release will feature the PESTIS song PLAGUERIDDEN
as a sort of promo song to prepare humanity on global infection PESTIS is the new disease!!!
