About Me

Name is Santosh. Dark lord of forests and barstools. Weilder of trash talk for the purpose of justice. Friend to warm blooded animals and foe to letters from revenue canada. I'm a tree planter by proffession, so I never really live anywhere for long stretches at a time. Those forestry buggers usually have me running all over Canada. Journalism is my auxilary proffession. I went to school for it and got to write for some big papers, but got jaded very quickly. Too much brown nosing. Now I simply plant trees in the spring, and then find somewhere nice to settle for the winter and do music. Music is my hobby, my life, the central pillar of my entire being. I record music and play music, and listen to music, and eat music and dance music and dress music up in funny little sweaters and, well, whatever. Music. You should check out some of my music, once I get it posted up on this site. Other than my hobbies, Im a tall, red hed, lunatic, who loves to go on drunken moonlit walks in the park, loves building climbing and plays a mean game of cribbage.

My Interests

I play music mainly. Bass guitar was my chosen one, but after I started planting, I could suddenly afford recording equipment an dother instruments. . . .so lately Ive been sort of jack-of-all tradesing it. A wee bit of accordian, cello, banjo, madolin, clarinet ect. I also read. Mainly pulp fiction SCI-FI, but I like to choke down a brainy book now and then. I studied journalism for a couple of years and got a diploma which entitles me to do freebies or self-serving PR peices. Its a flooded bitter industry, really, so Im avoiding it right now. Other than that. . . . I dont know, theres stuff but it hardly seems relevant right now.

I'd like to meet:

Aliens or time travellers. It would be pretty fun to get swept up in some sort of cosmic conflict where I was some sort of prophesied hero or something. That would be really good for my self esteem.

Music:

I really like genre defying music. Stuff that cant be conveniently labeled, or even marketed properly. I listen to brave new waves when I can, and I love hearing something Ive never heard before. It is inspiring. Makes me beleive that the human creative process is more than a paltry feedback loop of resynthysized plagerism. Ive really been loving King Crimson and the Talking heads and all that prog stuff lately.

Movies:

Snuff

Television:

Simpsons or surf

Books:

Dune, Hitchhikers guide, Fountainhead, Thomas Covenent the unbeleiver, Elric and Corum, Conan (not obrien), the ressurection (tolstoys best, throw away war and peace), Beyond Good and Evil, Sister Catrrie, Time Hoppers, Portrait of Dorian Grey. . .. . . . . .. other stuff that eludes me at the moment

Heroes:

Paul Atredeis, and his foil the Baron Harkonnenn. Geezer Butler, and his foil Les Caypool Microscopic life forms everywhere.
