Band Members: Ed Enoch, owner - manager - lead vocalist for the Stamps
Quartet - has been singing and managing the Stamps for
over 35 years. From 1971 through 1977, Ed Enoch
sang with the "world's greatest entertainer", Elvis
Presley at which time, on every concert performance,
Elvis introduced Ed Enoch as, "the most powerful and
best lead vocalist in the music industry." Ed Enoch is a
legendary performer in Gospel Music and his voice today
is still as strong and as powerful as it was in the 1970's.
Ed and his wife Brenda, reside in Nashville, TN.
In June 2005, Michael Helwig, from Ontario, Canada,
began singing Baritone for The Stamps Quartet. Michael
has a tremendous vocal range, as evidenced by the Favorite Tenor
award he received from the Canadian Gospel Music Association in 1997.
Michael's entertaining stage presence is enjoyed by all.
Michael and his wife Leslie, reside east of Nashville,
with their three children.
February 2006, Joseph Frech, became the Tenor vocalist
for The Stamps Quartet. Joseph began singing
professionally with the Journeymen Quartet of
Shepherdsville, Kentucky, and credits much valuable
experience to his time with them. Joseph graduated
from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia, in May of
2003, and once again lives in Louisville, Kentucky.
Joseph's vocal qualities and impeccable tones- far
exceeds group expectations.
July 2006, the Stamps Quartet hired pianist Andy
Stringfield of Kingston, Tennessee. Andy attended the
University of Tennessee, where he studied Journalism
and Music. Stamps members were so impressed with
Andy's audition, that he was hired on-the-spot, and
began playing immediately. Having played alongside
industry greats, like Anthony Burger, the Kingsmen, the
Florida Boys, The Dixie Melody Boys, The Blackwood
Quartet, and many others, Andy has proven himself to
be a fixture in southern gospel music.
Once again in March of 2007, the Stamps Quartet found
themselves looking for new, young talent, but this time
in the bass position. A stellar audition was given by Seth
Dillehay of Carthage, Tennessee, and he was hired the
next day. Seth won't begin singing with the group until
May 18, 2007, because he is still in high school. He will
graduate in May, and immediately join one of the top
quartets in the industry. With a rich tone and miles of
potential, Seth Dillehay will be heard singing gospel
music for many years to come.
