Influences: This is a huge thing to try and comunicate, but I will do my best. I love to use heavy counterpoint, combined with the chromatic harmonies of the late romantics. Orchestral texture is important to me, as well as character, so I am fond of the Tone Poem and other later orchestral forms. When not writing for a specific film or game, I like to combine modern darker rock textures with a cinematic Danny Elfman style playfullness. I do make use of more "modern" approaches to writing such as serialism and atonality, but I believe everything is best in moderation.
In short, it is hard to reduce ones influences when your tastes span 1000 years, so let's just say I am still studying hard and learning more about music every day. Perhaps someday I will reach my potential.
