About Me

We are a local to the Louisville/Southern Indiana area band. We are a mostly cover band performing blues, country, southern rock and classic rock. Add a little modern rock and you got us. We are doing this page to meet lots of new friends who enjoy good music and like to have a little party every now and then. Look to this page for updated schedules, events, and some pics from shows. Okay, so let's cut to the chase. We really just want to have a good time and be able to cover our damn tabs at the end of the night. Now if you're thinking about booking us don't even try to throw that last statement up in our faces. This is no charity event! Everybody in the area look for the Back9 Band to be playing at your favorite establishment.

My Interests

The Back9 Band are: Jerry Smallwood- Lead Vocals Mike Fulkerson- Rhythm Guitar/Background Vocals Barry Thomas- Bass/Background Vocals Glenn Zelch- Drums/Lead Vocals/Background Vocals Bill Wiley- Lead GuitarWe like good music, the kind that gets people drinkin' and havin' a helluva time. We love live music. So even if you can't come out to support us go see your favorite band when you can. We do.

Music:

We draw our influences from all genres of music. Some favorites: DAC, Aerosmith, Queen, Tab Benoit, Montgomery Gentry, Monte Montgomery, SRV, Free, Black Crowes, ZZ Top, KWS, CDB, 3DD, Randall William Rhoads(my personal inspiration), Hank(all 3),Zakk Wylde, Dime, Delbert Mclinton, Bad Co., Rush, Faces, Big & Rich, Waylon, Zepplin, Tool, Clay Davidson, Dallas Moore Band and The Man In Black. I've left out so many, it's not even funny.
