About Me

...an amazing radio show with the best new Independent music!!
This is the MySpace home of Fame Games a radio show that plays and promotes music by Independent musicians!
We only play music that comes directly from the musicians. Musicians send us their songs; we upload them, they get reviewed, they get played, and we deal with the muscian DIRECTLY!!
Something Cool To Know: In a regular deal, Musicians pay out at least a quarter of their monies on radio promotion. When promoting through Fame Games musicians pay NOTHING and are played based on merit. So, if the song rocks it gets played A LOT!!
Fame Games airs 5 shows a week! 3 Qualifier shows, 1 semi-final and the Final!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ABC Radio Networks Launches Fame Games In Search for the Next Music Superstars – Show Will Allow Local Market Artists to Compete in International Competition
Venture merges online music world with terrestrial radio And reinforces the Network’s commitment to young end programming
DALLAS (June 2, 2008) -- ABC Radio Networks announced today it has partnered with Mere Music International (MMI) to bring Fame Games – the popular Web-based competition for new music artists – to U.S. and international radio syndication. The show, which has been available on the Web since 2006, has drawn unsigned artists from more than 70 countries and currently pulls a weekly audience of more than 2.5 million listeners. Fame Games will begin airing .. ABC Radio Networks affiliates on June 30 and be comprised of three 15-week competitions targeting young end consumers.
Fame Games provides an online stage for aspiring musicians. While the showcased artists are truly international in scope, almost three quarters of the weekly listeners and on-line voters are from the United States – an indication there will be a strong reception from young, active listeners in America who want to help determine tomorrow’s music idols. The show is expected to drive traffic to station websites from listeners looking to cast their ballot and follow the weekly competition.
“Unsigned artists are writing and recording some of today’s best music and they’re doing it from their own garages and bedrooms,” said Laura Krier, an independent musician and co-founder of Fame Games. “This global radio launch is going to provide airplay and recognition for a new generation of talent. We can’t wait to start broadcasting the show with new affiliates in the U.S. and have an army of new voters choosing our top songs.”
To enter Fame Games, artists submit their song(s) via the MMI artists site (www.meremusic.com) where it is evaluated by a production team before being made available for review by peers and listeners at www.famegamesradio.com. By gaining fan support and positive reviews, a song can then advance through several voting stages required to reach the qualifier show. Winners are determined by the highest vote totals with weekly finalists from qualifying events competing for track of the month honors.
“Fame Games is going to be a phenomenal opportunity for stations seeking to provide a vehicle for local artists to become a star and will also allow the stations to own the new music niche in their market,” said TJ Lambert, Senior Vice President of Affiliate Relations for ABC Radio Networks. “We’ll be taking what has already been a successful online program and joining it with the strength and reach of network radio to attract a coveted demographic of active listeners.”
Weekly episodes of Fame Games will air Monday-Friday. The program will be hosted by the established panel of five judges, which includes Laura Krier, Paul Sedkowski and Graham Keeling - all independent musicians and writers - as well as Sid Olivera, a former BBC radio personality. The group is rounded out by Jake Waby and Lexy Badger-Ward, two teenage music phenoms and artists-in-training who provide the teen perspective to the group’s discussion and on-air reviews.

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: meermusic.com
Band Members: DJ Krier (Laura Krier): This fast talking blonde is nothing but trouble. Being brought up on a farm, Laura would milk cows, plow fields and wring chickens necks to kill time. Now the often over-caffinated and sleep deprived diva strives for independent music to rule the world. In this attempt for world domination, Laura can be scary, but don’t let that distract from her soulful voice and years of experience she brings to Fame Games table. Krier has performed all over the north central U.S., Japan, England and Spain and released her debut album in 2006. Blame it all on Laura, it was really her who’s responsible for Fame Games as it’s known—a service for independent artists.

Paul Sedkowski: If looking for Paul Sedkowski, follow the smell of coffee and cigarette smoke you’ll be guided into the epicentre of what is Paul’s studio. The resident songwriter, producer and know-it-all mystifies the Fame Games panel each show with his experience and expertise of the music business. Always liking a bit of everything, Paul gives each song due attention. Among his many achievements, this “could be Jeopardy champion” has produced over 4000 songs, a 1 hit and the music for the Barcelona Olympics. He is the brains, he is the lynchpin, and you WANT his approval.

Graham Keeling: A lover of “Old school” Rock ‘n’ Roll and loud guitars with great riffs, musician’s musician Graham Keeling frequently raises the eyebrows of the Fame Games crew with his “make no apologies” approach. Graham, who’s played sessions with the likes of the Police and Wishbone Ash, is a guitar maestro who has played in many parts of Europe. Strictly Old School, he doesn’t have the patience for wannabe time-wasters.

Jake Waby: Spiky-haired teenage heartthrob and artist in training, Jake offers insight into the complex, confused and occasionally perverted teenage mind. “I get satisfaction from music and all it’s surprises,” Words from Waby, not the everyday 14 year old. Performing publicly since age 8, Waby has already mastered jumping while singing, dodging drunk dancers and avoiding the occasional beer bottle; skills that are essential for making it in the music business.

Lexy Bager-Ward: With the voice of an angel and the looks of a Hollywood movie starlette, this ex-Pampers model offers a second glimpse into abnormalities of teenagers. Lexy has been recording at the MMI studios and performing since 2006 with a handful of original songs under her silver glittered belt. But don’t fooled by the British posh princess; this shy, turtleneck-wearing trendsetter won’t hesitate, (but will blush like mad), to dis a song that wouldn’t fly in her crowd.
Influences: Fame Games has been broadcasting since April 2004 on 101.4FM and 94.6FM and streaming on-line since April 2006. WE ARE THE LARGEST INDIE RADIO SHOW ON THE WEB.

Fame Games has over 2 and a half million listeners on-line, and that is growing every day!!
