I'm an Actor. Entertainer, Comedian, Radio and Television Broadcaster, and I love my work.However, there is more to me than just this aspect of my life. Aside from being a performer, I've also been a part-time Police Officer, a part-time Professional Fire Paramedic and I was a member of the United States Air Force. I'm specifically proud of my Military Service, eventhough I was only a Reservist, I earned the rank of Master Sgt. I started out in The Air Force as an Air Traffic Controler, but found that far too nerve-racking, so I was able to join the elite USAF Comandos as a Combat Controler. (I'd rather be shot at than to sit in a Control Tower with all those "dots" in front of me. LOL!) The A.F. Comandos are the only actual GROUND Combat Forces in The U.S. Air Force and it was an honor to have been accepted and to serve with this unit. I saw combat in Grenada, Panama and The First Gulf War and I recieved a number of Commedations, Citations and Medals for my Service, including a Purple Heart for a Combat Injury and two Medals Of Valor. I recieved and Honorable Discharge in 1992.I have a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism, with two Minors, one in Meteorology and another in Biology. I also recieved a Four Year Degree in Rabbinical Studies and I was Ordained as a Rabbi. I also earned an Associates Degree in Emergency Medical Technology and a National Registry Paramedics License and an Associates Degree in Paralegalism. I graduated in the top of my classes in all my courses of study. I've also been through Police Academy and Fire Academy, I have numerous other Diplomas and Certificates Of Completions for many lessor Courses Of Study that I have taken over the years. I have also completed several Film and Stage Acting Courses. I just enjoy learning new things, and I plan to take many more courses in the future.I was married to one of the most wonderful women to ever grace the face of the earth, but she and our two youngest sons were tragically killed in a grinding car crash when she was hit by a drunk driver in 1994. We were just four days shy of our fourteenth wedding aniversary.After my wife's death, I finished raising my surviving children as a single Dad, that wasn't always easy for a Dad with two girls, but I think that I did a pretty good job. My daughters are are grown now, one is an Elementary School Teacher and the other one is a Film and Television Assistant Director here in Hollywood. Here's an interesting fact: My late-wife's first cousin was NASA Astronaut, Mission Specialist and Flight Engineer Judith Resnik who died in the 28 Jan., 1986 explosion of The Space Shuttle Challenger 113 seconds after launch at Cape Canaveral Florida's Kennedy Space Flight Center. Judith was a very lovely person and had safely flown on one previous Space Shuttle Mission.I'm also a Private Airplane Pilot, an Ameteur Astronomer, an Avid Reader, a HUGE FAN of Computers and of the Internet and I love to Experiment with Ametuer Filmmaking. I'm a very devout Jewish Man who happens to have been born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. I speak Spanish, English and American Sign Language For The Deaf all FLUENTLY! I speak Hebrew, Yiddish, Italian, and Latin less fluently. As for my Acting Career, some of my more recent film and television appearances have been: I played a White House Staffer on
"The West Wing" for about two and half years. I also appeared on
"CSI-New York," "Boston Legal," "7th Heaven," "Las Vegas," "House," "Numb3rs," "Life On The Rock," "Te'ed Off" and many others.My most recent films are
"Gridiron Gang," "Flags Of Our Fathers," and "Rome And Jewel." Apart from these Major Network Television Series and Major Motion Pictures, I have recently done a series a educational videos and now I'm working on a new cable network show on which I will be the host. -------- Yep! No Beard, No Cap or Hat! (Few people know me personally know me without them! lol!) At the time that I was shooting THIS episode of "Las Vegas," I was ALSO shooting the movie "Flags Of Our Fathers," which you probably know was set in the 1940's. Mr. Eastwood and Mr. Speilberg insisted that I have a 1940's haircut, and even brought in hair stylists who were specialists in styles from that era to butcher my hair like that! Sheesh!
