At just 22yrs of age with a 3year stint in the "game" Bearman has conjured a style which is best described in one word UNIQUE. Subject matter, Creativity, Flow, Tempo, Pitch, are all some of the contributing factors that have made BEARMAN a ever last name on the lips of youth England-wide. Heralding from Deptford southeast London, Bearman is part of the MASTERMIND camp consisting of mc's Lioness, Fender, Mista D, dj's Gambit & Double Ace and production/management Bobzee and Blazer. At 6ft 3inches and 18 stones you would expect to see Bearman in a wrestling ring as appose to holding a mic in is huge hand, but all that you see is the start of a captivating package that attracts many. With a regular tuesday night slot on (the formerly) raw mission.fm Bearman alongside his fellow troopers refined the London airwaves with catchy & powerful lyrics. Many of the shows saw the mastermind - south agent tag team where mc's Zero, Mega & cousins Doctor & Drastick combined with the troops to make a 'supa set'. All this energy and hard work earned Bearman and the troopers a step forward straight to ONTOP.fm on a prime time slot. On Top is described as the biggest radio station (priate/grime/r&b)in south London and respectfully second to Rinse.fm in the whole of London - so this was definitely a happy time. Bearman saw this opportunity to really stake a claim and grasp a firm hold on the grime scene. And this he did. With the lyric 'HOW MANY UPPERCUTS ARE THERE BEARRR'(amongst others) and a couple growls thrown in now and then Bearman speedily became one of south's front-runner mc's. Local raves or House parties he amongst others was there spraying the audience loved bars with a 'wheel up' every time. Just as the Bear's momentum started to gather the downhill slope got even steeper. A vigorous, lively and CRAZY beat was produced by Mastermind chief Bobzee, then three 16bar's and a chorus later and DRINKIN BEAR was born. Bearman and Bobzee created in DRINKIN BEAR one of the biggest and best 'grime' tunes of 2005 period. Catchy and humorous lyrics and a sing-a-long chorus with a feel-good & cant help but dance beat the tune stained every garage/r&b/hip hop club inside London & out. Hand in hand with a crazy funny video which received a lot of Channel U play Bearman had made his mark. Live pa's in clubs from London to Leeds and on the biggest stage at NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL , SIDEWINDER & ESKIMO DANCE all whilst his hit single was played on National radio stations such BBC1 extra(play listed), Kiss fm and Choice Fm - Bearman was becoming familiar with audiences ENGLAND wide. His credibility was gained as an mc and this was rewarded with working with the crème of UK grime & urban music. Collaborations with big names such as Wiley, Doctor & Skepta to Mike Skinner & Ms dynamite, coupled with magazine interviews such as rewind & invincible and Dj interviews such as Westwood, Logan and Cameo inevitably followed. With a brand new bad boy single (Brown Bear's Picnic) circulating currently, Bearman is still putting in the work in the studio on the road and over the airwaves.
