K-sounds started as a 2 member group in 2000 listening to the likes of PAY AS U GO CARTEL,HEARTLESS CREW, SO SOLID and alot of old school mcs such as SHABBA D AND SKIBADEE, KSOUNDS originally consisted of Platinum and Dmac, whose aim was too make good music and be heard through all avenues possible lyrically and production wise. We started working together on rhymes then thought it would be a good idea to recruit another member to progress. This was fortunate because we knew of another mc round locally that was getting respect for his rapping. We met him and told him of our aims. After a lyrical battle the mc known as Drastick joined the crew as there was a mutual respect for one another. Once he had joined we started doing sets with our Dj called DJ Damps, we visited many pirate radio shows and were guests on other crews shows in order to improve awareness of KSounds. Until 2004 Ksounds worked hard at music but were not to certain if succession in the music industry was what we really wanted as we struggled to get noticed due to funding. After the persistence of ksounds followers wanting us to succeed and self motivation and belief, we decided to attempt to crack the music scene properly learning from previous mistakes we made along the way, We decided to recruit another member Who goes by the name of Chaser. Platinum knew of him before he joined as he was in another crew who had just broken up but did not want to finish with music, he began networking with platinum so it was inevitable he would join KSounds. His drive to succeed and ability to entertain people even at the dullest times made him an instant hit with Platinum, who after recruiting him, introduced him to Dmac and Drastick who loved his attitude and work ethic. After the team was complete we worked hard to find ways of networking and creating nire avenues to get our music heard, along the way we met a group called Spl2rge who we worked on a mix tape called south circular for 8 months on. After completion we mass produced copy's which we distributed ourself to give more awareness of KSounds. As a fan base built more ideas grew and we decided it was time to approach more avenues of promtion so we began to do some cameo appearances in videos. After appearing in majority of Acts videos it was only right to do our own which is a big hit to date, which we worked on with Mastermind productions, the song is entitled "Next Up" and has been playlisted on MTV BASE "In then ends" and was at number 1 in the Channel U charts for a number of weeks recieving great credit on a underground level. The song itself has been played on Kiss FM, Choice FM, and a wide spread of top underground stations, as well as that the Next up E.P is in the shops on vinyl and is set to do very well nationally with both instrumentals on the E.P. and the remix featuring well known mcs such as Tinie Tempah, Messy, Spoke, Mercston. Ksounds have strong links with a number of producers mainly the one and only Exo Remody who gives us an extra alternative to our own crew's productions, The single Next Up was produced by him and also he is working with us for the upcoming Album set for release Winter 06 ENTITLED "NEXT UP" which will be in all shops and available on the website. Since the video we've done various pa's at various clubs all over the world from BOLTON to Ayia Napa appeared in a number of magazines including REWIND MAG and appeared on SPIT TV and a number of underground dvds INCLUDING STREETS INC, AND THE UP AND COMING RISKY ROADZ and mass promoting in order to build a stronger fan base and raise our profile. The NEXT UP project recieved mass appreciation and interest has built because of this so we believe it's a great opportunity to build on the success of that and keep the consistency and further ourselves as artists and persue the goal of getting SIGNED to a major label which will help us receieve the promotion we feel we need to gather a stronger fanbase and really push boundaries.
