Chi K.’s music is a brew of attitude and sensitivity, often edgy but highly emotional. Her lyrics, though in English, reflect a universal femininity perhaps owing to a life spent in a number of different cities around the world, starting from a very young age. Born in Istanbul, Chi K. lived in Iran, Bulgaria, Costa Rica, Ghana and the United States. She started singing at Bard College, NY but her musical career began in Turkey, where she co-owns Elec-Trip Records, an independent record label, with producer Oguz Kaplangi. Chi K.’s track “Occasionally” has been released by Petrol Records in a compilation named “Istanbul: The Sex, The City, The Music”. The track titled "Name" appears in EMI's "From Constantinople To Istanbul" it will also appear in the Elec-Trip Records compilation "Istanbul Calling Vol. 2" in May 2007.
