J.J. And The Flutes

J.J. and the Flutes are the number one up and coming band to come out of the deepest and darkest depths of Liverpool's music scene.
J.J. Henry, Alex MacDonald and Stevie McCabe plus many other supporting musicians make up what is known widely as J.J. and the Flutes.
"...they've got awesomely political lyrics, they've got some fantastically catchy tunes, and they've got the edge above the rest."
The Flutes, as their fans like to call them, are trained in many areas outside of the music business, from forensic science to animal testing, and they use this education to write many of their songs. However, most of their songs are written as a result of people they have met, for example, 'Better Than You' and 'First Class Degree' both written by Alex MacDonald and J.J. Henry. 'Better Than U' is a love song about someone with dirty habbits and a strange personality disorder and 'First Class Degree' being about an overtly passionate person whose crotch sometimes leads his marking pen.

Hey guys!
We now have 1000 'friends'! Yay! Some filmmaker called Life has the fantastic and honorable position of being J.J. and the Flutes 1000th friend!

Pretty exciting news!
The one and only Bez and J.J. and the Flutes had a mini jamming session the other day whilst Bez was in Liverpool.
Bez got in touch with The Flutes after hearing 'First Class Degree' on his local radio station in Manchester and managed to track us down through the world that is mySpace.
Alex has been named the 'Bez' of J.J. and the Flutes (purely because they both play the marracas) and so it was great to see them play together. Two greats playing together to create a truly inspiring and original sound.
Every jamming session they do is recorded including their Bez set so you guys should look forward to hearing some major marraca music mania come the alliterating October.

26/06/06OFFICIAL STATEMENT
There have been rumours that the reason why 'J.J. and the Flutes' do not have any music on their mySpace is due to the fact that Alex Macdonald has an alcohol problem thus not being able to record in the studio.
May I take this time to firmly deny these allegations and make it clear that neither Mr. Macdonald, nor Mr. Henry or Mr. McCabe, have any problems, alcohol or otherwise, that would detain them from recording their tracks from their first album, 'Tales of the Joe H'.
The reason for there being no music on their mySpace is due to the fact that they are at home spending time with their families and friends after a very stressful pre-album tour.
'J.J. and the Flutes' wanted me to tell their fans that they are extremely grateful for their support and also their kind words to Alex, even though he is not an alcoholic. Fans should expect music to be available to add to their own mySpace in October.
