About Me

Hello I am Craig McGee. I believe I am a friendly outgoing individual. I have done more in my lifetime than I could care to imagine. There are still lots I want to do.I like to keep myself busy, always looking out for my mates and generally just enjoy life. I know I get one chance at it so just want people around me enjoying it too.
Currently I am a Promoter for DF concerts booking for King Tuts. I scout for Relentless Records, who are part of EMI. I run club nights on the go also across Glasgow all with a varying play list as I like to keep it interesting. I can’t be bothered with going out and hearing the same songs over and over and over and over. I am also managing Hi 5 Alive .
I started a photo website “www.glasgowmusic.co.uk” that has become something else. A passion for music and managing my mates band Catbuster led me towards music promotion, I am ever grateful. University is now over proving that they give degrees out to anyone. An appalling attendance and a good grasp of alliteration gave me a degree in Business and Management (Soc Sci.)
I don’t believe in such a thing as a "proper job" I will continue to have fun doing what im doing as long as I am enjoying it! I will be around promoting a scene I love for as long as I can
Nights I have ran: “The Tuesday Club” (Tom Tom) “Cigarettes and Fuck All” (Butterfly and the Pig/Buff Club) “Liquid Fridays” (Liquid Lounge) "HORRORSHOW" (Firewater) Involved with: “Kaleidoscope” ABC
I am fed up of London having all the fun. London may be the biggest, its time for Glasgow to show it’s the best.
Aaaaaaand I have met Hulk Hogan!!!
RECENT QUOTES

"The current mover and shaker in the Glasgow scene right now" Alan McGee
"Anything Craig McGee touches seems to succeed these days" Fact Magazine"Check out Cigarettes and Fuck all @ The Pig and Butterfly/ Buff club. Beerjacket"Craig, you’re doing a wicked job with these mailing lists. Well done. And a wicked job in the music scene in general it seems. I Love reading about your progress." Donna, Amplifico, Edinburgh

"Totally loved the Cigarettes and Fuck all on Thursday night and the Liquid Lounge last night. It's brilliant how you organise these nights and provide all the fun and laughter for us all!" Anne Hutchison, Glasgow

I'd like to meet:

I want to meet everyone, i want to hear about yourself and what you do. If you have time for me then i will have time for you.A few people, through my life a few people i have looked up to. Also the doctors who have been good to my mum and dad through the years to say thanks for letting me and them enjoy the good times.
I would like to go watch the Beatles in the cavern club and share a table with Mark Bolan, Bill Hicks, Jim Morrison, Debbie Harry and Alyson Hannigan. I also really have a thing at the moment for Annelise Hesme (the girl in the Clio advert) she would be at that club aswell, not at the table. You do the maths

Music:

I have a huge collection of music. I love hearing a new band that blows you away the first time you hear them. When I am DJing never expect anything apart from the unordinary. I like making weird sets of songs that shouldn’t go together. "The stuff your granny calls noise and the records your dad cant remember buying!"
