So far 2008 is shaping up to be a great year. I jump-started things when I went to Dr. Joe's Fantasy Bodybuilding Camp the first weekend of January. Getting to work with and train with a such great bunch of people who are so enthusiastic about training and competing really got me fired up! I'm about 90% recovered from my 2007 hamstring surgery and by contest time in July I'll be ready to rock and roll!!! I'm sanctioning my 11th Annual Texas Shredder Classic Natural Bodybuilding, Figure and Fitness Championships with the NPC this year. It was a tough decision for me (because the OCB was great to work with) but the response has been overwhelmingly good. I've also learned that the NPC Texas will hold an NPC Natural Texas State Championships in 2009, so it looks like my move is already making a difference. Ironman Magazine has been very good to me and I'm really enjoying writing my monthly column, Shredded Muscle! I love hearing from readers, and I welcome your comments and questions. Thank you to all my family, friends and fans for all your love and support! Y'all are awesome!!!
I'm just a regular guy who happens to be good at drug-free bodybuilding. I feel lucky to be able to continue to compete and win contests even in my 25th year of competition. I make my living as a personal trainer. It's really nice to be able to work at something you love. In my spare time I sing and play guitar. I'm in a band, although we haven't played gigs in quite a while my buddy , Ken, and I are working on material to play soon at the Triangle Famer's Market here in Austin.
