The story of Mr. Liver starts around october 2000, no one remembers the exact date, ever since it..s been allready a few days since... Back then we met at a party, had a good time talked about old days and the bands we used to have back then. Such sounding names as "Death Dragon" which we..ve already founded back in school, or " Sackratz " ( means something like rat of the balls :-) ) on which ocassions the band-rehearsals regulary ended after 10 minutes and moved on into the local tavern here in Traunwalchen ( greetings to family Springer by the way ! ) This may be one of the reasons why the band never actually existed ( or has it been the alcohol? )! So, while we where talking and realized what fun we used to have back than, we..ve decided to come back together for a little jam session. But, eversince during a blast we..ve already promised a lot to eachother once in a while and never kept those promises, it surely has been a surprise as actually everybody showed up, with a bad hangover, but, we..ve got together. The first gig went promising, we..ve played around half an hour, before in good old "Sackratz - manner" we went to the tavern... But this time it has not been the end of a band, it..s been the beginning of "Mr. Liver". ..Cause on this evening we..ve not only freshed up the intoxication, we..ve also decided the name of THE band. We..re not going to deny, that we..ve been inspired by the menue of the tavern. But, it..s only a rumour that our nourishment ever since that day is only our godfather-"food"-giving-name ...
A few days afterwards we met, again, and during this first serious rehearsal we practiced the first songs. Eversince we..ve been on a real "Ramones - Trip" during this period of time, it was obvious for us to first of all cover one of their classics. I believe, some of their best songs are "Blitzkrieg Bop" followed by "Commando", "Judy is a punk" and "Sheena is a punkrocker". During our first concerts we put those songs together to our famous quarter. Badly high pitched, we ran them down in as little as 5 minutes, which always helped to brake the ice and brighten up the mood. Quickly we also had our own songs in the program, for example songs such as "Tears", "Pornoqueen", and "Call my number" are back from the start ( of course not like that ). So, we pretty fast had a colourful program, made up by Ramones-classics our own songs and rocking oldies. Actually, oldies like "Teenager in Love" or "Diana" we..ve always played, no matter what the name of our band used to be. They belong to our program just like a strip of our very own loyal nude Tobi, called " F..ckalmaster T" ( you don..t want me to translate this! ). It was a set-back to us when our acoustic - guitar player sepperated from us, ..cause he had some different musical interrest. Lucky for us we..ve found in Christian Freitsmiedl alias "Freitzi" pretty fast someone who fit us pretty good in anyway. But unfortunatelly he as well didn..t stay to long with us, eversince he was engaged with the band Lacrimas Profundere, time for two of us wasn..t on our side... Meantime we found a new drummer for us, Manuel "Mute" Pal. A few months afterward our wellknown friend Florian Sch..tzinger joined us and handeld the acoustic-guitar. Frequently also this position was replaced through "Andi Sorre..". Because of all of those changes and replacements, our sound always changes a little, but not for the worse and always in Mr.Liver manner as we think ;-). We look forward for cool concerts, horny groupies and the money which we are going to earn a lot in the future;-)
